It's interesting to me, because Carmy sees this as a failure. But it's absolutely a rousing success that he could assemble this team that steps up to the plate like this in his absence.

In addition to your points I'll add that Richie growth and success is also Carmy and Syd's win...like, their commitment to making sure everbody improves and team work in the process, was clutch. Bc as carmy got locked and Syd got overwhelmed. That could have been lighta out for them. I hope they keep that path of everybody looking out for each other....

They way Carmy succeeded but at the same time failed this episode was very well done. Fate can be funny and cruel like that. The restaurant succeeded, but people's relationships and feelings weree hurt in the process. S3 is going to be wild.

i think the thing people forget about carmy is that he has no clue how to prioritize... he mentioned in the monologue from season 1 that he threw himself into his work because of everything with his brother (and he also said that he's never had a girlfriend), so he's never learned work-life balance because his work IS his life and he's never had to actually split his focus like that before😭

This show just always makes me cry on season finales. I honestly feel really bad for Carm bc I understand the feeling of thinking you don't deserve good things. I think he's in a state of self-sabotage bc good things are terrifying, and he's not used to the good, only the bad and the stressful. And then Marcus's mom was a twist of the knife! A heartbreaking show, but a great show. Season 3 is also really good, so I'm excited for those reactions!

I love the fridge scene with Richie and carm, carm just berating him and taking his anger out on Richie, but when Richie is about to talk back, you get this feeling that he’s going to revert back to the way he was, only to scream at carm that he loves him

The honey bun man… I got it for her though.😂Today; when I have to go somewhere after work I don’t want her to be, she offers to take me! Life is crazy. Oh yeah gang, it’s this girl on my job, she’s like twenty eight and she be on my bumper.
