Julia, your relationship with your mother is eerily similar to my own relationship with my mom. Toxic is a great word to describe it. I grew up a very anxious and hypervigilent child/teen... always walking on eggshells around my mom. Her moods were so volatile and unpredictable. My dad, brother, and I were her verbal punching bags. The level of emotional abuse we endured caused so much damage. I never learned what a healthy relationship looked like, or how to navigate my own emotions. Like you, I just wanted someone to show me the love and respect I knew I deserved. At the age of 40, I have begun piecing together the puzzle pieces of my life bit by bit with the help of a counselor and family members who know my experience to be truth. I am so sorry you had to go through what you had to go through. I have learned that it is not our fault. In my case, my mom has a narcissistic personality and that will never change. I also find myself either creating distance and not talking to her, or getting sucked back into communication in which I allow myself to overshare at my own expense. It is a challenge, but be proud of the fact that despite having a dysfunctional parent, you haven't let it stop you from becoming the person you want to be and following your dreams. I love you❤

I have deep compassion for the part of you that feels shame when a relationship breaks up. I thank you very much though for sharing it with us so openly (so far), because I experience it as a great gift. For us women out there who feel this shame too well too...

i'm in my forties and it has taken me basically this long to realize how many relationships are really meant to last for a season , even if that season lasts for years, and not necessarily meant to last "forever" . you learn and you grow and you come into yourself. and i totally agree, there's no need for the shame that is put upon people and women specifically. 💛

I know we say for each their own,but i dont get the -i dont need a man-move. I want to find my husband, the father of my children and the one i live happily with till the end of time. Sure there are a lot of bad men out there, but so are woman. We were born to complete each other, because each side brings a lot with it. I dont want to have to "be a man" just because..im a woman/girl we are the fragile one of both sides,we need our counterpart. And i will NEVER give my dream up,that i had since being a little girl, dreaming of a healthy, calm and happy household with my husband on my side-thats like throwing my inner child to the trash😢. We as woman have to go through a lot, but we cant give up and just throw all men into a bucket, the same men shouldn't do with us. I always say-you get what you give-.i cant and wont give up on hope or my future❤

@@kb5538 AMEN! To this🫶🏼 nice to hear this, i think someone was cutting onions😅 but yes, hope is the last thing we should loose, living hopeful and in love is something i cant describe. I lost myself years ago and in all i went through,i found the way back to myself again,i had to learn a lot, because i didnt know how much i was worth it as a woman. I didnt loose hope to get to better days, and thank god i did make it and im proud of myself..i had to grow and learn everything by my own. And after all of this years, the thing i learned is, if i had to go through such a bad relationship, whats the point of loosing hope in love?, if i do this, it was all in vain. So I know, I just can feel it, my man is out there-i dont know how to describe it, but my heart just knows.🙈

First of all, absolutely nothing against wanting to find your soulmate or the father of your children or wanting to find love. But when you say men and women are born to complete each other, what about for example men and men or women and women? They can't complete each other or what? Also I think its super uncool of you to say that women are the fragile part and that we need a partner. It's sexist. I don't have an issue with you saying that you specifically are fragile and that you need a partner because of that, but please don't say it like its the rule for all the women.

@@nadja8087 im heterosexuell ,so im not talking about the others-everyone deserves to find their counterpart-but in my case its a men,so dont get offended😘 and for the fragile part, we as woman, im not talking about the ones that can fight/ try to fight a man, we cant compete with the strength of a men, at least i cant, and i know a lot of us cant..a dong from us,can hurt a man, but a dong from a man, will send us to heaven or to the hospital

If I could add one thing, is maybe you could be a little more open to queer relationships, because maybe some followers are queer and it feels a little icky. Hope this doesnt feel rude! So much love from Germany.

I also have come to know I want my future long term partner to be a man. But I am bi and have had some little love affairs off camera, that maybe I’ll share more on in the future💕 lol

When you read the story of Adam and Eve, it’s amazing what you can learn about sin, humanity, and the love of God. When they were in the garden, they were naked, but did not feel ashamed of their nakedness. The reason is they were clothed by the love and acceptance of God. When they chose to disobey God by eating of the fruit that God asked to not eat they hid. Not eating the fruit was not the main purpose, but God’s way of asking them to love him more than any other. Anyway, they hid because they felt ashamed. They no longer felt accepted by God or loved. And this is the result of sin for them, and for us. Because of Jesus, we were given a second chance to be in the grace of God again. Such an amazing gift! We will only be accepting of ourselves when we know that God loves us the most. It’s not by our works but by what Jesus has already done.
