Recently found out my bestie has stage4 lung cancer and she only retired. I feel I work in such a rat race……no vacation.I want time to stop smell the roses , hear nature…..I want to learn to live & appreciate a slow living life…the finer things in life. Money & Material things are no use if one doesn’t have their health.

I'm so sorry about your friend. One of my dear friends just had brain surgery because she has metastatic lung cancer. She woke up from surgery and was unable to move her left side. I had two heart attacks last year and a mini stroke. Bad health reminds us how precious life can be and to soak up every juicy moment.

My brother in law died of pancreatic cancer after 10 months from diagnosis & 2 years after retirement. He died a lonely man & on his deathbed was crying that he was lonely. He had lots of money but was not able to enjoy it. What can we do so that this will not happen to us.I retired at 58 with just a minimal pension. I am now 77 & had remained frugal in all the years that I have been retired. But can’t say that I am no t lonely. For me, no regrets.

Since I retired last year, I have made my health a top priority. I go to the gym 5 days a week and lift weights 3 days per week. I have noticed an improvement in my fitness and feel great.

I have a dilemma. I love listening to your calm voice & wisdom while I declutter, yet your videos are also visually beautiful & I don't want to miss anything therefore I can't declutter & watch at the same time! ☺️❤

You could listen while you declutter, then watch on replay when you are done.

I read recently that being outside and seeing the organized repetitive patterns of trees and leaves is very healing to the brain and body. I believe it!

I believe it too. Every time my husband and I take our daily walk, I am in awe at the patterns of the trees and the leaves and everything the nature trails offer add to that the rustling of the leaves and the birds singing. There is magic to it that makes your heart soar and at peace.

Thanks Connie, love your reminders about living simply and intentionally. I'm heading to a cabin on a lake away from the noisy city. I'm going to savour the peace and quiet. As a caregiver it was a huge undertaking to get away. I'm going to take the time to allow my brain to shut down the over thinking and life stress.

What I always learn from your videos and calm presence is to have gratitude for the simple beauty that surrounds us and is within us. Making choices that reflect the life we love and who we truly are. Thank you, Connie. I still waiver between the world of responding to stresses due to financial and health issues, and the joy and peace I feel from being home with the natural world in my surroundings.

Found you channel recently. Thank you....I am going to watch a few everyday I retired 5 years ago...walk several times a day, swim when warm, and lift light weights 3 times a week. I live in an area with lots of nice parks and lakes. I am trying to live a simpler life with less stress. Eating healthier, no sugary drinks. You have a very calm voice and demeanor.

You should have been a model. You have the built for it and more importantly, you're GRACEFUL! As one who's been a clumsy klutz all my life, I notice when someone like you has an innate sense of grace , balance and posture that is evident with every move.

What a lovely countryside it truly is. I love exercising and being outside and love how it is a priority in the majority of minimalists' lifestyles. You became a minimalist a couple years after me and it is so nice to see that there are some of us who have been around for a while. Been enjoying your videos. Thanks for sharing.

I love and find comfort in your videos. Thank you. Seeing you drink your tea reminded me of some new info that alarmed me. Many tea bags, are made of plastic mesh and it’s hard to tell and requires a little research. But heat and plastic may create microplastics that we ingest. Your tea bag looks very similar to one I found that was made of plastic and I wanted to alert you to this because I know you prioritize your health.❤️
