@@bali5890 if you have an OTS local or go to Konami events, you cannot use OCG cards of any language due to the differences in rarity distributions (the thickness excuse is just a lie), and the tournament guidelines have always said you could not use Asian-English cards in TCG territories

This is the Asia English edition, which is a long time no see for the asia area. So the AE is exclusive for asia only. Take hong kong as an example, we only have japanese card, we go with OCG. and the AE allows us to play these english card in tournament in HK, the AE also has its competition, players will use AE only card when making their decks.

The fact that they get the uncensored art is based as hell. Maybe these Asian English cards could be a key to finally combining the TCG and OCG. Yeah we have different card backs, but official tournaments already require you to use sleeves anyways, so it would only matter for casual play where people would not care at all. Those power up packs are nuts too. Imagine if they started including something like rarity collection in each structure deck.

@@iBloodxHunter Yeah, otherwise you can be counted as considered having marked cards because cards can get scratched, or since not every card is printed and cut symmetrically the backs can be slightly different. So you must have sleeves to obscure them, and your main deck and extra deck cannot match.

You are allowed to double sleeve at tournaments, so if you like it you can buy those terrible sleeves Konami sells and get the ones that have the YGO back on it, then sleeve some nice clear matte Dragon Shield sleeves over them. Ya get the classic look in the back with good protection and shuffle feel. Exactly, by this point there shouldn't be any good reason they can't combine both. Even if I was playing casually with my friends and didn't use sleeves I doubt knowing whether my next card was from the west or from Asia would make a difference.

Maybe Konami should start putting power up packs in the future tcg structure decks. Hell even release some tcg exclusive structure decks like say an Armed Dragon Dragunity structure deck with the power up pack containing the legal dragon rulers as foils along with the new blaster Xyz.

They are legal for Japanese OCG Tournament. We will likely have "Asia-English" exclusive Tournament as well. This means a smaller card pool unless they plan to roll out more Asia English cards

When the power up packs for these Asian English exclusive SDs only contains a sliver of bewds or dm support cards, in each pack, you know you got lucky getting the cards you got. Now try to get the ccg versions of the same decks. Istg they’re far better in the power pack choices. I was surprised you got black rose moonlight though.
