So did I! This was an American Godzilla movie done Right! Not only did this surpass Godzilla 2014 which I still liked and respect despite its flaws. But this one, This is the American Godzilla film we've always wanted!

Sam Montanez I have the same opinion. Godzilla 2014 was awesome. It did have its flaws, but it was a good starting point. This was a big step up from the last film. I’m looking forward to Godzilla vs Kong.

I loved this movie so much. It was so awesome to see Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah on screen. It definitely delivered on kaiju action, like Godzilla: Final Wars. The human characters were a lot better than the 2014 characters. And plus, that cover of Blue Oyster Cult’s Godzilla was amazing as well as the Godzilla theme making a appearance for the first time in an American adaptation. Also your Matthew Broderick impression was spot on.

Personal opinion, but I honestly think KOTM is better than _Final Wars._ Looking back, I feel like the monsters were basically just there to say "Hey! We remember all of these guys!" And then they're basically used as Godzilla-victory-fodder. With KOTM, on the other hand, I felt the monsters were given far more respect and reverence. They each stuck out in their own special ways, with their own personalities to boot. I'm honestly going to remember the KOTM monsters more easily than I will the ones from _Final Wars._ And the bad guys didn't look like they walked off the set of _The Matrix._

I like these characters a lot more than G14s. For what you said about the critics not liking the film. Critics never really liked Godzilla movies up until recently where they give better reviews. And or the reason why they hated this film because to them it had nothing to say.(which this film uses good ideas to help the story work better.) For me this is a big budget heisi Godzilla film.

In a way, it felt like a mixture of Showa and Heisei. Showa: The heroic take on Godzilla and more outlandish concepts such as Mothra's mystical origins and Ghidorah being from space. Heisei: The tone being closer to something like Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla plus all the advanced technology.

EDIT: By the way, the spider-Titan is named Scylla, the mountain-Titan is named Methuselah, and the mammoth-Titan is named Behemoth.

I do agee that the film has a lack of focus (a common problem with the franchise), but this movie delivers the fanservice exceptionally. Honestly, I was slightly disappointed that this movie took a little too long to get the monster action going and the even worse human characters, but the monster battles are spectacular. It's a shame that this movie is underperfoming at the box office. I watched this movie on opening night with my 2 close friends and I regret not seeing this movie the second time in IMAX. More power to you enjoying this movie even more than Avengers: Endgame. I swear that people are complaining just for the sake of complaining.

As far as we know, GvK is going to be the grand finale of the MonsterVerse. Maybe they'll continue after that if it does well or if there's enough interest, but I think they planned the current story arc to wrap up with GvK.

I can't even begin to describe just how much I love your reaction. I loved the movie too, but I have to admit, some days I feel like maybe I shouldn't. I understand where people's problems with it lay, but I just don't feel like they were that big of a deal. If I may be so bold here, your enthusiasm over this movie is downright contagious. Whenever I feel down about this movie, I almost always come back to this video.

Honestly the film is a big guilty pleasure. I'm not going to sit here and be blind to the fact that despite they had plenty of time and resources to make a good movie that delivers both good monster and people stuff just because they deliver a ton of fan service. But with that said the movie is fun and very rewatchable, but it's more on par with something like Godzilla vs gigan or megalon where it's just stupid and silly
