When I was 10yrs old my cousin shot me with an "unloaded" BB Gun. Gun safety is literally in the hands of the holder. Safety was not a concern of Baldwin. He used the gun as a pointer on set. He pointed it at someone and pulled the trigger. If he gave a shit about safety he would have checked the gun. If he gave a shit about safety he wouldn't have pointed it at a person. If he gave a shit about safety he wouldn't have pulled the trigger. I would bet a yrs salary that he wouldn't have pointed it at his balls and pulled the trigger.

I've been saying all along that this probably had something to do with the pin; maybe debris burnoff that caused a delayed fire. It really also and most likely scenario, that the hammer slipped. That can happen for a variety of reasons, like not being securely cocked or being jarred. That would be the most likely reason for any accidental discharge of a hammer revolver. What was the prosecutor withholding that caused the dismissal with prejudice?

In Alec's defense, how would you "Safety Check" a gun that's filled with 5 dummy rounds and 1 live bullet. The whole point of a dummy round, is that it is identical in visual appearance to a live round. He'd have to unload all the bullets and check them individually by shaking each one separately or fire-cycle through the entire cylinder. Is that expected or supposed to be part of the process for a movie set?

Alex's neglect to do safety protocol concerning the gun, reminds me of what happens in other jobs that people have for years. They've done it for so long that they get comfortable and lazy. There's value in vigilance about keeping to the rules when injury is a very real concern. It looks like Alex got lazy and made assumptions. That seems to be what happened. If I understand this, the state is trying to prove that he meant to shoot her. That's tricky because Alex is a trained actor who knows how to play a part and the better he can play it and convince people it's real. But if all it was really was he just got lazy due to how long he's been acting, and it really was a preventable tragic accident, It's tricky. How does anyone but Alex know the truth. The real question is how honest is he.

Personally, I liked the tipsy version but not wasted. Moderation is good, but it was obvious he couldn't/wouldn't moderate so I bailed when it was apparent entire bottles were being consumed during a single stream. I'm never a live viewer anyway and only caught a couple streams here and there during the week. As for angry at him like others? I'm not. Why? Because I don't know NIck, have never interacted with him and have zero investment in his career. What I do find entertaining is his commentary and humor. When he's like this, I'll watch as much as possible. If he's wildin out like he was on many of those later Friday streams, I bail.

Well you do have evidence of homicide though right? The dead body with a gs wound. And it's not a prop gun, bc correct, prop guns don't kill people and this gun did. It is a real gun and that's why there are gun safety rules. And not just the 4 treat/never/never/keep, but to make sure those 4 are followed they also deliberately point to the side of the other actor and do camera angle tricks to make it look real, they don't film shooting scenes with people downrange of the gun, etc. That guy died in The Crow and movie safety rules changed to prevent this exact thing. So no, movie set protocol was not followed. And no, he was not doing his job, it was not in the script and he was not following direction bc as the state explained, they were asking him to move slowly, and no one told him finger on the trigger, because it was not a live shot it was just a blocking... ugh. He's not guilty of murder. He's incredibly guilty of manslaughter. Can't believe they got this thrown out
