One, he subtly tried getting the guy to agree to not open it live that day after the guy says itll be opened live "Well, I wasnt sure you actually wanted to open it today" Once the guy buying affirms he does want it opened, bald guy let's out a longer than normal OKAAAY then immediately goes into his story of the seller to try and push any incoming blame away from him and onto the seller. Those are just a few tells I picked up on. Put him on a lie detector, he wont pass. He 100% thought he'd come, drop off a fake box. Take the money and leave. So "The Story" is the owner had 3 sealed 1st Edition Base Set boxes locked in a case for 20 years, however there are 2020 Cards inside there, so the box was just recently resealed and the story doesn't add up. So either the previous owner before Guru is a total liar and fraud and never had these 3 boxes locked away for 20 years, Or Collectible Guru pulling the Ultimate Reverse Scam, where he swapped out the boxes. Well learned the other day that original seller is a Donald Hughes. He was in some of the same collectors fb groups as me. He admits he was the seller but denies any wrongdoing on his end. Guru knew this box was fake the whole time and was attempting to defraud these people out of 375000. Starts by saying "I didnt know if you would want to break the box today" assuming they wouldn't realize until much later that they had been defrauded. Keeps glancing at the box before hands it over. Immediately starts explaining the origin of the box by say "supposedly" , trying to set it up as though he knew it was fake now trying to make it look like he is giving full disclosure. Then attempts to sell the authenticity of the box by pointing out the peek test which can be easily cheated. Hands over the box and when second dude gets it he immediately says "what are your concerns" Before the guy even said anything. Suggesting he knew that there should very well be concerns. Once the box is popped and the fraud is revealed he calmly and in a very poor attempt at pretending to be surprised and aghast says"thats a major fucking problem". Anybody would clearly be more angry than that and it's clear that he is unaware at how to behave convincingly in this moment if he really had also been scammed. This is disgusting, and what's more appalling is the dumb money's inability to see and call this out. I'm ashamed at what I witnessed here today and everyone in this room should be embarrassed at being involved in something like this with the exception of Leonhart who clearly wasn't involved in this attempted scam and who's place it was not to call put these scammers as the dumb money guys should have. Mentions how there are going to be only 17 legit boxes before its opened (obv all 3 boxes are not going to be legit...but only 1 was opened , why prematurely dismissing the other two..which probably don't even exist, where there's smoke...) 6. My guy stop acting like you’re a body language expert. I don’t doubt that he might’ve scammed but also it was incredibly stupid for him to do it with it being opened live, so there definitely is a possibility this was just an honest mistake. First edition boxes are incredibly difficult to authenticate, like this one essentially passed all of the limited tests you could do, and the only way to really determine if it was real was to open it up.

Right from the start...I don’t care much from Leon, I think he’s kind of annoying...but...you can tell by his body language that he doesn’t care much for the bald guys...I mean it is what it is...however, as the bald keeps talking...you can see his demeanor slowly start to evolve...he way over shares...and not just over shares about the history of himself or the box...but the inner workings of his purchase of this box. He goes from being incredibly confident, way over confident into ego stroking. Once detailed questions come and they realize the Leon and the other guy are really doing their due diligence to pick a part the box and not just pretty faces for the camera...he seems to get REALLY nervous...not in a manner that may give away the fact he “knows” it’s fake per say...but...the fact that he knows there’s a higher probability than not that the box is a dud... He goes from over confidence...sticking to his inner script to a very timid and often times physically shaking voice. Things get even worse when he finds out the box is not only going to get opened...but it’s going to get opened in front of him. He then goes into...”oh, this box is real...” ...”this box is real because I know enough about the product...” “This box is real because the seller told me it’s real and him and I spoke just before I got here and he told me he would give me my money back if it turned out not to be legit.” As passes the box to Leon, and Leon passes the box to the other guy, he starts almost becoming defensive about the things Leon may find wrong with the box. Then as the host of the show gets the box and makes a joke about not knowing what he has...the bald guy says to him...and to no one else very seriously...if you drop the box...it’s on you and the sale is still final. Doesn’t seem like that should matter especially if the box is going to get opened in front of him anyways, but he doesn’t make that statement to the two experts. When the box makes it way back to Leon, the bald guy makes a very damming tell...he says “last night [the 3 of us] were saying you know, maybe we shouldn’t sell this and hold onto it. Then his buddies absolutely sell him out. The guy in the middle says nothing...and while that’s not an admission guilt...the fact that he didn’t even chuckle is very odd...but the guy in the blue mask blatantly sells him out by saying, “I didn’t say that, you said that...” Even though he says he’s had a few these boxes and has done business with this supposed “legitimate” seller before his confidence took a stark drop off the plateau in a seemingly immediate manner! he tipped his hand faster than anything else in this video could’ve.

I think he does have a legitimate second box. Couldn't it be that this box was actually a decoy that he planted to hype the viewers for the actual sale? I mean think about it: - he gets scammed, feel bad for him. - he has a spare box like that, wierd. - we don't know who the seller really is as the story changed at the end. - fewer legit boxes (now), higher value now for boxes in existence. It looks like he's going to sell the box at the agreed price to make him look good (as he did with the Logan deal). Basically it's a win-win, and we'll never know the who the seller was. Just thoughts... feel free to disagree.
