Just incase some people are not aware, unlike the 57XX type pannier, the 64XX type as seen here IS Auto fitted, so can authentically be ran with an autocoach or two in tow if you fancy a change from the Hornby 14XX

Great video Will, really enjoyed it. Then something amazing happened!! Moved on to South Devon Railway Branch Line Week on KZbin. Couldn’t believe it. About half way through a pannier came into view, stopping at a local halt. Thought it was really like the one I’d just seen you review. Turned out to be exactly the same loco, in exactly the same livery. Unbelievable. Just proved how good the Bachmann model really is. Keep the videos coming - really enjoying them.

Just bought one.Also bought with it.37-997.LMS 10001.The buffers are also not sprung.Its seems bachmann have stopped putting sprung buffers on there models.If you would like to do a review on it.I will bring it to you.

bachmann have stopped doing sprung buffers on certain models to help keep costs down. its the same with the E4 tanks

Another beautiful model and an excellent review. I have just one comment. I think these model manufacturers need to develop a quieter drive for these models. In my way of thinking for the money spent there is no excuse for noises gears. Some models you have tested are very quiet, they all should be quiet. I'm not saying they should be silent but too many are too noisy. You should add another score for noise, perhaps if the gear noise was more of an issue the manufacturer would redesign them.

I know in the past models were noisier but today there are several models that Will has reviewed that are very quiet. With the cost of these beautiful locomotives I think they can make them all quieter. I have a 1989 vintage Mantua loco that is surprisingly quiet for a model over 15 years old.
