OPENING THE DREADED 1ST CUT CLAMP!!! AKA THE DIGGER CLAMP 😱

Hello again KZbin!
Thank you for coming to my channel and watching another video! Hope you all enjoy it and find opening my first cut clamp interesting. We never expected this to be amazing because of the process of how we had to get the digger out cause there was that much grass. This meant we couldn’t roll it properly. The grass itself is actually really nice the cows love it and are still eating it now. Plenty of fibre with the stalky grass keeping the fats high, we’re just lacking some protein which we can supplement in the parlour corn anyway.
The best thing about this job is we are improving every day so hopefully next year we make even better first cut!

Lil tip for the shear grab, open it up get a flap sanding disc on 4”grinder and put a shine on the cutting edge and a little sharpen. Inside and out just knock the rust off and it shear off first bite, cuts easier and less stress on machine 😉

@@lordlamb8881 I have done this on the merlo one we’ve just had back! Great tip! I’ve got a couple new knives welded on it too, works a treat. The one on the John Deere loader was an emergency farm sale buy 🤣
