Great show Drew. The history of the farm is most interesting to me. I remember remarking a few years ago how much energy was forged by the ancestors to the farm in just the rock fences all around. The brick buildings appear to be ancient. I am 79 year old Bohemian.. All the people in my ancestry are gone. When I was younger I could ask a member about such and such and so and so. Heritage is too easily lost. Load up on as much of family lore as you can. It is enriching. Dennis in Seattle.

We were a dairy farm for 50 years,,3 generations,,then switched to beef in 2000,,best decision we ever made,, so much more time,,rather than tied down to the parlour...A little thought to digest,,,at the highest we were getting 35ppl...Dairy farms can ONLY dream of that now...And bear in mind,,everything absolutely everything price wise has gone through the roof....Don't miss milking twice a day one bit...

Good morning, Drew. I was at Kirkley Hall the last year they had dairy. Your farm is immaculate compared to that place. Looking good 👍

Our farm isn’t immaculate 🤣

When did they stop the dairy at Kirkley? I was there at the end of the 80’s…
@leeforeman3656Ай бұрын
@JohntyNich the end of the 90s 98 99, I can't remember the exact year. In 97, they removed the cubicles and went to straw bedding. Good idea, apart from the penny pinching on straw. A few years later, the dairy man left as did the lowland shepherd.
