I have two of this class and have been very tempted to buy this as I have an HST and a full set of coaches in this livery. Shame there is no sound profile until much later in the year.

I would definitely recommend one of these. Hopefully when the sound profile for this does come out it will be good. The majority of sound profiles Hornby have done so far have been excellent

Great video! Really looking forward to multiple unit operation. Honestly the snow cones can be attached on the body with simply a stick with an NEM coupling sticking out... Don't quite understand why Hornby decided to do it in this way.

I was considering getting one, but an efe class 143 is cheaper at rails 😊

They don't do this livery and there is only £4 difference on this livery. Other class 153s are nearly 50% cheaper than the EFE Rail models.

Is yours missing the BSI coupler on one end, just a hole in the “buffer” beam. It is not in the parts bag. No loose parts in the packaging. I have 2 which also do not have one.

Good eye mate. Hadn’t noticed that. If it’s a common problem or they all have it then must have been an error when they manufacture them. Very strange

I personally think Hornby prices are now very steep for what we are getting compared to others so I'll definitely be thinking twice if I buy from Hornby in the future.

Other manufacturers certainly do offer far better value.
