I have an order for 25 Tie Dye shirts. I am opening up the shirts after the first wash out.

Thank you for doing the live event. I enjoyed hanging out and getting tips on how to better create. Please remind me what kind of detergent you use? I believe you said it was a carpet cleaner? Have you found that better than Synthrapol? You have a much larger inventory in your shop than I had envisioned - very cool. Keep preaching the tie-dye gospel brother.

Thanks, I had a lot of fun hanging out with everyone, and talking tie dye. I use Folex Instant Carpet Spot Remover. I get it from Home Improvement Stores. The stuff I get is in a gallon jug, and it is a white container with purple print. I have never used synthrapol, and sometimes I don't even use the folex. XD

How do you maintain the color in your shirts over time. What can I do before dyeing or while dyeing to make sure my shirts won't fade dramatically after a wash or two

I try to make sure my soda ash is around 11-12 with a litmus paper test. I use my dyes within 12 hours of mixing them with water. I wait 24 hours or more before washing the shirts out. Thanks, good luck, and have fun dyeing!

Hey Daniel, Did you know that Rubber Bands last longer if they are refrigerated?? Just a fun fact.

I don't think that I have heard that before. I have seen some old rubber bands that did not keep their elasticity. Thanks for the fact! It was most definitely fun.

I have found the orange 'rubber' bands they sell at DHARMA, last better/longer than regular rubber bands.

I like seeing different shirts unwrapped instead of the same designs. With different shirts each one is a Surprise! One of the reasons I like Tie Dyeing 😎
