The design of the first starter box is so unique, I really want to buy one of these in the future. Unfortunately it is very expensive. What are the prices for opened boxes?

Actually, I also bought an opened starter box. Unopened ones are too expensive. When I bought it at a Japanese card shop, it cost about $70 without the cards. It's very rare that it's on sale, so if you find it, it's better to buy it right away!

I find the score sheet / life point tracker to be very interesting. As it wants you to update life points on every turn for 18 turns max. It feels like such an inefficient way to handle life points even within early OCG meta. There are so many things about early yugioh that are so weird from a game design perspective. I wonder what the intention was with this sheet. Do players adjust the new score at the end of each turn? So all attacks are calculated in a bulk instead of individually. That would be such an inefficient and needlessly confusing way to calculate a turn where multiple damage sources happened, and maybe even mooyan curry was played. Calculating each turn in your head, forcing an awkward convoluted spreadsheet of max 18 turns is just hilarious to me. When just writing down two numbers on a sheet of paper for each players life points, crossing them out and writing new total every time they change is 10x simpler, does not have a turn limit, and only requires any sheet of paper and a pen.

As you said, this is an inefficient method. In old official Yugioh tournaments, it was a rule to use this score sheet to record changes in life points every turn. I think it was decided to record every turn to avoid any disputes. In the old days, Yugioh had many strange rules and specifications like this. But that's one of the charms of Yugioh!

@@HalYu-Gi-Ohretrocollection I’m sure the working calculator is pricy. But if you can but the defective calculator with good condition, restoration will follow. It might be difficult especially if the person has no electrical background but if you make it work, you will save alot.

Blue Eyes is the most valuable card. The value varies greatly depending on the condition of the card, but if it is in perfect condition, it can fetch more than $3,000. The Blue Eyes I have is a damaged card, so I bought it in Japan for about $60.
