Hi. I really like your video's. You explain everything in a simple way. I already fly RC planes and drive RC cars for over 50 years...But you need to go with the time right? Since I am also a sound engineer, musician as hobby and retired industrial engineer I see a lot of things in common of the settings and setup of the tx16s when I compare it with digital audio mixers or proramnable industrial sensors,encoders, frequency motor controllers, stages and bus control systems. I just bought a tx16s mark 2 max and while I am waiting for it to arrive I already want to learn everything how to set up and edit the transmitter and how to set up my planes. Thank you for all your videos, they are such a help. At first i tried to figure out myself how to do something pretty simple: have my arming switch only be armed when i hold a momentary switch. But the problem was that at first it works, i hold the momentary, flick my 2 pos switch in the arming position and it arms. But then when i release the momentary it disarms the quad again instead of holding the value.. i couldnt figure out how to hold the value there and keep it on armed even after releasing the momentary. I just want it to disarm again when i flick the 2 pos in the disarm position (disarming should work without the momentary switch tho for safety reasons). Now i found your videos and im sure they will help me, but if someone else knows how to accomplish my goal id be happy about a helpful comment and maybe it will also help someone else :) (got hurt in my last session by my quad when my RC was dangling off my neck and it bumped the arm switch while i was getting out the car holding the quad and it hurt me pretty bad, those props can really cut, im glad it was just my hand and im glad that i still managed to hold the quad, even tho the instinct was to let go but that couldve ended even worse. Anyway, have a good one guys, stay safe

Use a sticky switch in your logic. When you press the momentary switch down, that will engage the sticky and trigger a logical switch on.

Wonderful explanation for me just figuring out what the different symbols are and what they do is the hardest to figure out like the !1 after play track will only play when a switch is activated and not on startup.

I’m not sure I follow your logical switch query. A LS is just a switch. It just evaluates conditions you specify and is either on or off depending on those conditions. They can be used like any other switch on the radio but they are just switches.

Cyc1,2,3 are for helicopters. With those you create the mixer to mix the movement for the three servos that drive the swashplate. They are trig based functions that, e.g., move the swash for a left turn when the aileron stick goes left. I am in the process of trying to figure them out. I hoping to find a lua script to set them up.

Yes, you can remove these files from the SD Card: RADIO\models.txt RADIO adio.bin MODELS\* That essentially resets the radio.

Feel the same I am waiting for my radio to be delivered. It seemed to be way more complicated radio with more features and switches than I am ever going to use. I kept hearing about good quality gimbals making a big difference when you fly and want to get away from frsky all the time. Would like to try tracer or crossfire someday so this radio is a step in that direction.

Use a switch to set the weight in a global variable and use that global variable for your weight in the mixer.

Thanks for your easy how to vids to date, been very handy for setting up my TX16s. When changing the gimbal stock ends tho are they a two piece set? Mine are on so damn tight I’m worried I’m going to break the gimbal - how did you remove your stick ends on your TX16s?

There's a set screw in the top piece going down the shaft of the stick. When you loosen it, the stick ends come off very easily. If you're forcing anything, you're doing it wrong. Glad the videos have been helpful. J

It had an FrSky s6r stabilizing receiver that had an auto level mode. At first I connected it to a momentary switch so it was a ‘recovery’ button that would work from any orientation. Then later I added a vario sensor and with some opentx logical switches tied to an altitude, you could activate an automatic ’hard deck’ that was adjustable with a slider from 50’-150’. You could do whatever you wanted to that plane and as soon as it hit the hard deck it would snap into auto pilot. The plane was an FMS superEZ, so nothing exotic. It worked really well but by the time I got that far in figuring things out, I had enough stick time that I didn’t really need it." "

@RCVideoReviews I have a question regarding the delta switch. If a switch is set as follows: d >= x, SA, -100. To me that means the logical switch will be true when the delta in SA is greater than -100, which is delta is between -100 and +inf. In reality, the way it behaves is as if the delta is smaller than -100, or delta is between -inf to-100 . Did I get this right? If this is a bug and gets fixed, it would change the way some radios are already set up.

That will never really work. Delta is about the change in value. If you set the delta to be -100 you're saying whenever the value of SA changes more than or equal to -100(weight), then go live. Try it using a value of 10 or 20 and see what happens. Add a duration to help see when the switch goes on. Delta is about the amount of change. There is no +inf definition. You're comparing the change between V1 and V2.

@@RCVideoReviews. I tried setting it to d>=x, SA, -20. In that case when SA is flip so that the SA value goes from +100 to -100, the delta is -200. My point is -200 is smaller, not greater, than -20, but the logical switch turns on.

No global logical switches. Logical switches are per model.

@@torbendehn2208 It could also be very dangerous. If you look at the global functions, most of those are basic commands and voice prompts that would be innocuous going from one model to another. Logical switches can create conditions that cause things to happen like a motor firing off, or return to home being activated, or an autostabilize mode being turned on. So I do understand why they don't have global logical switches.

Its probably a stupid question, just bought my tx16 after 20years away from the hobby and trying to wrap my mind around the endless functions... So, i uderstand that you create conditions to activate/deactivate a logical switch.. Lets use logical switch 4.. When elevator is less than 80, logical switch 4 is activated! So what? What happens when the condition is met and L04 is active? In other examples, when the condition was met, it started a timer or a sound but, in most of the other examples i did not understand the reason for setting such a condition and what is the result of activating the logical switch Thanks

You might need to check your resolution settings on whatever thing you're using to watch KZbin because I just looked, this video is crystal clear. Full 1080p60p video and it looks really good even on a 4k monitor. There is no focus setting because the entire video is screen capture and it is 100% clear.
