I learned of Erik because he did a cover with Dan Vasc. This song is one of my favorite Christmas songs, my three favorite metal singers cover it in three different ways, all three are powerful and amazing, Dan Vasc, Erik Gronwell and Tommy Johannsson. Thanks for this great reaction video! I’ve seen plenty of people reacting to this cover and I’ve been so surprised/disappointed that no one has commented on how he’s singing the word “knees” (and the way he uses the same way/voice on several words/phrases). Details like those blow me away, and he uses the perfect amount of them 🤩🤩🤩 I agree with everything you say, awesome analysis! 😄😍😍

Very impressed. I've watched quite a few reaction videos by singers/coaches/musicians, and yours has been the best. I have to admit, as someone with zero talent and no knowledge, a lot of the stuff in the others was too technical for me. You explained things perfectly, about Erik's process, how and why things worked, even gave a few examples, and I was able to 'get it' and even helped me understand what it is about his voice that I enjoy so much.

You should even look/listen to him sing Mariah Carey's Without You, John Farnham's You're the voice, Eric Carmen's (Celine Dion) All by myself, The Animals House of the rising sun and Pentatonix Mary Did You Know, they are also truly amazing! In 2009, Erik won Swedish Idol and performed the specially written song Higher in the final. On March 23, 2022, it was announced by Eddie Trunk that Grönwall is replacing ZP Theart as the lead singer of Skid Row. In March 2024, Erik announced that he was leaving Skid Row for health reasons after being diagnosed with leukemia. His first single, "Higher", reached gold on digital downloads after only three days. His debut album, self-titled Erik Grönwall, was released just ten days after the finals and debuted at number one on the Swedish albums chart and was certified platinum. Both as a solo artist and band member, Grönwall has numerous top 40 hits.

Loved this one from him... so much emotion. I Will Always Love You was amazing as well, but I think my favorite from Erik is House of the Rising Sun. Jona Tee on the keys is amazing and haunting in that one, and of course Erik's vocal dynamics are incredible.

Hm the reason Erik has no problems with the "birth" word and specifically the R.. is because he is Swedish.^^ We use a lot of R-sounds. Hah, especially in the south! We really know how to sing "börrrth" ;)
