This is an original composition. The beginning and ending of the piece feature instrumental imitations of the sounds from Outer Space as recorded by NASA, creating an otherworldly atmosphere. Dimash uses only vocalization to make this a prayer/meditation/contemplation for all people, regardless of their language, culture, or spiritual orientation. Words often divide us, but music has the power to unite. The purity of Dimash's voice, the genius of Igor Krutoy's composition (at the piano), the choir, instrumentation, and staging all combine to transport the listener to a higher plane of existence. The messa di voce in High C at the end is absolutely exquisite. If we could hear angels sing, this is what it would sound like.

Peace to all the DEARS out there. There are realities that we need to face, after all no one in this world is perfect. Dimash is one of the best singers today in the world (if not the best) but I have to say that your analysis is one of the best I have ever seen of this particular performance by any vocal professional that I have watched. Not saying anything about your amazing talent when I reference him as one of the best either as I think your are amazing too! You are so good about explaining all the dynamics and techniques (forgive my terminology, but I have no vocal training to provide the best descriptors) but you break down everything in the performance and provide explanations that we untrained could never understand although our ears appreciate and do understand. Thank you!

Dimash's rendition of "Ave Maria" is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever listened to, and only Dimash's voice could evoke such a profound emotional response in me. This rendition touches the very core of my soul. I have watched this performance numerous times already since it premiered, and no matter how many times I have already watched it, I am still moved to tears the moment I hear the first note sung by Dimash's angelic voice. This was the final of three songs Dimash premiered in August 2021 during his appearance at the annual New Wave music competition in Sochi, Russia. He once again performed with Igor Krotoy on the piano. This is a vocalise interpretation of Schubert's "Ave Maria " 's opening vocals." Igor Krutoy composed this rendition for Dimash; it is not a cover. I read somewhere that the piece uses only three bars from the original composition and changes the fourth note to a higher note. Someone explained that Dimash called Igor Krutoy with an idea for a brand new interpretation of Ave Maria and asked him to compose the music. Dimash is said to love Gregorian choral music, which is where he got the inspiration. Igor composed the music, after which Dimash conceived these exquisite vocals. Someone else likened it to "a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (dark to light)!" Another “Dear” fittingly described Dimash’s performances like this: "Every time I hear this beautiful man sing, it feels like he punches a hole in my chest and holds my heart in his hands, holding it so gently, until he finishes singing. Then releases it and removes his hand from my chest, and I'm left with an empty, aching feeling which can only be filled by listening to him sing again! It's a beautifully tortured relationship with Dimash." Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the last note Diamsh sings is known as "Messa di Voce," the singing of a gradual crescendo and decrescendo on a long sustained note. It is considered one of the most challenging vocal exercises, and voice experts regard it as the ultimate test for any singer, a skill even the most experienced vocalists rarely ever master. There are at least 11 other compositions titled "Ave Maria" and over 40 different renditions of these versions. The version most people are likely familiar with is Schubert's 1825 composition or the 1853 Gounod composition, based on a famous Bach keyboard prelude written 137 years earlier. Here is a list of different composers/compositions: Ave Maria - F. Schubert (1797-1828) Ave Maria - C. Gounod (1818-1893) Ave Maria - J. S. Bach (1685-1750) Ave Maria - G. Verdi (1813-1901) Ave Maria - E. Elgar (1857-1934) Ave Maria - P. Mascagni (1863-1945) Ave Maria - J. Brahms (1833-1897) Ave Maria - L. Cherubini (1760-1842) Ave Maria - V. Vavilov (1925-1973). See note below* Ave Maria - S. Lindley (1948- ) Ave Maria - N. Skipper (1951- ) *This is the famous composition of Ave Maria misattributed to G. Caccini (1551-1618). It was actually composed by Russian composer Vladimir Vavilov in the early 1970s. He was forced to attribute most of his music to someone other than himself because any religious composition at that time, especially one invoking the Virgin Mary, was criminal under the communist dictatorship governing the Soviet Union.

No words or adjetives to describe such a beauty … sublime…. ethereal. Igor and Dimash gave us the most precious piece of art. 🔝🔝 The Ave Maria is a catholic prayer. On the other side Schubert’s music composition (a lead) in 1825 was called Ellens dritter Gesang, based on a Walter Scott poem “The Lady of the Lake” and it was not Intended to be a religious piece originally. The Ave Maria as it is mostly known was an arrangement made a long time after. This particular piece was composed by maestro Krutoy specially for Dimash voice which is indescribable beautiful and moving ❤️🎤🌹🌹🌹👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
