I'm so glad you did bodies! The way they reinvented the arrangement for this live performance was insane! Also yes, I'd love to see you review more from this concert. I honestly wouldn't mind you doing all four of the remaining tracks lol, but if I had to choose I'd recommend lost one and Girl like me.

@@jessicasopranonotes You should definitely check out the album version. If you listen in headphones, there's a cool panning effect at the beginning that kinda mimics the feeling of waking up disoriented/hungover. Also, on the original track, she sings the second verse in the lower octave like the first verse so it creates a different vibe. I love both versions!

4:43 - 5:01 Yes! I'm so happy that you recognize this. Jasmine is such a phenomenal performer, and songwriter. Her ability to be able to manifest characters is incredible. She can write songs from her perspective, somebody else's perspective, social media, a TV show or movie, etc etc. And then when she performs the song whether in studio or live, the way she shakes the vocal styling of each song to fit a different character is impeccable. This is very prevalent on song on her album "Reality Show" on songs like "brand new," and "mascara." You can also witness this on her album Love me back" on songs like "Redemption."

i ran across one of your reactions and it was so impressive, informative, and refreshing. I really only listen to gospel, worship, and praise. I love hearing gifted vocalists, especially unknowns, I don't watch talent competitons etc., but I do look on KZbin for videos from the shows. That is how I became aware of reaction videos. One of the other reasons that i feel comfortable watching participants sing, is that the music is "G" rated. I have a question. There are people who are gifted with a photographic memory. They can remember everything exactly as they read it and see/saw it verbatim. I notice that you have an extraordinary auditory memory of inflectons, riffs, runs, emphasis, and sound placement on certain words, phrases, and vowels, etc. Sorry. I don't know the musical terms for these things. But, I have never heard anyone who was able to "remember" what a person did as they were singing the way that you can. Sure, there are people who disect or explain what a vocalist did in very indepth ways. Most are vocal coaches etc But, you have such a unique ear and ability to remember what caught your ear. I don't know if I am able to adequately express what I find so extraordinary. Maybe simply put... my question should have been... Is there a musical auditory gifting that would be the equivalent of a person who has a photographic memory? Have you ever heard of such a thing? If not, at least for me, I believe that you have that gift; perhaphs an undiscovered gift. I am so intrigued, I'm going to look it up and do some research. I do hope that you have some knowlege of it. Or, at the very least understand what I was trying to say. I find it extraordinary. You truly have a beautiful voice and this unusual gift. By the way, would you possibly do a reaction to Jessye Norman in the future? My gandmother and I followed her career. She and I lived on the same street, attended the same church, and sang on the same choir. She was a teenager when I was a young child. Even as a tiny person, I recognized that her voice was special. When she led a song, I would turn around at the sound of her voice. She often walked me to church when my grandmother had to work Sundays, which was every other.. Thanks Chai-Yehovah (pronouned Hi-ee-uh)
@jessicasopranonotes
@jessicasopranonotes 3 жыл бұрын
Hello Chai! I know exactly what you mean. I tried looking up a term for your description but I don't think there is one! While I do have pretty good photographic memory (it actually helped me pass a lot of tests in school lol) I am by no means gifted to where I can remember musical moments perfectly. I often have to pause and remember what it is I wanted to discuss (hence the jump-cuts). Every so often I will even go back to remind myself exactly what it was that I need to hone in on. I just don't bother including this in the video because it would be redundant and time-consuming for the viewer. But I have no shame admitting I do not have "perfect memory" when it comes to music. It's pretty good but not to the degree/definition you are thinking. I am truly honored though! And I would absolutely add Jessye Norman to my list. What a great experience you had with her! She's incredible ☺️

@@jessicasopranonotes No, It is I that thank you. This is just me, but I feel that Jazmine Sullivan and Jessie J are 2 of the most underrated vocalists. It's unreal. Jessie J was in the same singing competiton in China as Damash. She won! I'd love to see you react and do a vocal analysis of one of her performances. They were extraordinary. I have a difficult time choosing one. it is between I Have Nothing (Whitney) or My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion which I feel she outdid Celine. What was so incredible is that Jessie J has a heart condition and had to be flown back to the Uk where she was admitted. She missed a week. She returned just in time for the performance and did not have the benefit of rehearsing with the orchestra. At the end, her hand is shaking. It wasn't nerves. She felt faint and repeated to herself 'Don't faint!"" through out the performance and it was one of the very best from the competition. Some feel it was her best. It shows her mastery that she could do that well under those circumstances. Thanks so much

Not your fault Ernesto! I have been a bit overwhelmed with filming as many videos as I can featuring black artists and I haven't been able to catch up with my editing. Therefore, there's less notification time for my premieres. That is my fault! Just an FYI I will be having a premiere tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.

Puts me in the mood for a spicy Cigar and a good scotch hanging out chillin in a smoky assed bar, back to the wall facing the door feeling my blood flow in between the beats.

I understand what your trying to say musical. Classical is all music,but jazz dances around its Classical roots as a free flowing spirit that has no borders for delivier...just feel,let go...sorry I love of all kinds...keep doing what your doing,you are truly genuine I could see it in your face, (you got goose bumps)
