Operating the GB3RS RSGB Radio station at Bletchley park

Nice to see the up dates to the station Carl i operated the Yeasu (in the back ground )on 40M back in 2016 while visiting relatives in Oxford i took the opportunity to drive up to Bletchley for the afternoon making sure i took my licence being a RSGB Member entrance was free to that part of the museum also having a Full Licence the volunteers had the chance to pop off for something to eat while i had the station to myself which was pretty amazing conditions that day where not the best but did make a few contacts to Scotland including the Radio Museum on the Orkney Islands 73 de M0YCQ Shropshire

Happy 50th Carl. Nice to see you running GB3RS. I ran GB2GM (G Marconi Centre at Poldhu) last year and created a huge pile up. Cornwall has three great museums due to the work that G Marconi did down there including this www.marconi-centre-poldhu.org.uk/ hope you get chance to visit them.

Well that brought back memories for me of the 3 weeks I spent at Bletchley park doing my Telecommunications training for British Telecom back in 1984, unfortunately it was mainly Safety related and the RSGB where not there in those days, so we didn't get to play Radio.
