The Crown worn in the Coronation is the St. Edward's Crown, it is only worn at Coronations. The Crown on the coffin is the Imperial State Crown, it is used for the State Opening of Parliament and funerals. This will be the biggest funeral in the history of the world.

In addition, the Crown on her coffin in Edinburgh was the Crown of Scotland. It is the oldest crown in the UK, is kept in Edinburgh Castle, and is carried before the monarch when opening Parliament in Edinburgh. It was placed on her coffin by the Hereditary Bearer of the Crown, the senior peer of Scotland, the Duke of Hamilton. When she entered the aircraft in Edinburgh, her coffin was covered with the Royal Standard of Scotland; when she exited the aircraft in London, the coffin was covered by the Royal Standard of England and Wales, having been changed mid-flight.

It's not unusual that I will, from time to time, despair of a younger generation's lack of interest in the world around them and of history itself, but then I come across a site like this with content that proves that, no matter what comes, there will be a remnant that has an appreciation of both.

My 2 youngest (22 and 28yo) are queuing at this very moment, (currently at the London Eye, only 4/5 hours to go, lol). It's not what's wrong with youngsters that should make you despair, it's their bloody awful parents/grandparents who are to blame. The generations that grew up through the sixties/seventies/eighties taking everything their parents provided for granted, (stability, family, tradition, ect.), and then couldn't mature enough or were too selfish to provide the same for their own children. Sorry to be harsh, but it's the last two generations that have caused this, the youngsters have never had a chance.

This video is well made, but events have actually overtaken it somewhat. Firstly, as HM died in Scotland, there was the lying in repose at St Giles for 24 hrs, when 30k people filed past. The greetings for King Charles in Edinburgh, Belfast, Cardiff, & London have been more jubilant than expected, which has raised national spirits somewhat. Five days of lying in state at Westminster has meant that hundreds of thousands have passed the catafalqe, queuing for up to 15 hours in a line stretching over 6 miles. Tonight HM's eight grandchildren, aged 14 to 44, stood guard on the coffin. It was very moving. BTW, eight women from Texas flew over and joined the queue too.

I attended Westminster Hall's lying in State on Thursday. Because I was with my Disabled friend we did not have to stand for hours in the queue we were given wristbands with a time we should return, in our case 6 -7 hours after we collected our wristbands, so we went to a restaurant for a meal then tried to get in 30 minutes early ... no go, so we went to the pub got back to our accessibility gate at about 21.15. The temperature in Central London last Thursday evening was still pleasantly warm. We were taken, with other disabled folk down ramps and other ease of access routes before being ushered into Westminster Hall and all I can say if that the majesty of the sight is not truly done any justice on TV. Cameras for tv are looking from a high vantage but from ground level it rises up above us the Guards are tall upon the plinth close by the Catafalque and Coffin and it is an awe inspiring sight. We paid our respects and moved on at which point I found myself overcome with emotion and it took me some minutes to regain my composure, but that felt truly cathartic. Inside the Hall it is hushed and you cannot fail to be touched by the gravitas of what you are witnessing. I got to say goodbye to my Queen of so many years. But to me she will always be The Queen.

One thing not mentioned in this video is that the queen's coffin will be pulled on its carriage by members of the Royal Navy and not by horses. This tradition goes back to the funeral of Queen Victoria. During her funeral the horses pulling her funeral carriage became spooked and reared up, when part of a harness strap broke. Sailors stepped in and took over and since then this duty has continued to be carried out by sailors at State funerals and will happen on Monday too.

If you are planning to tune in on Monday I'd tune in for 10am because the service at Westminster Abbey starts at 11am and you will miss her coffin being pulled to the Abbey which is pulled by sailors and not horses. After the service there will be a walking procession again pulled by sailors up Whitehall, through Admiralty Arch and past Buckingham Palace to Wellington Arch where her coffin will be transferred to the royal hearse after which she will be driven to Windsor and another short procession to St George's chapel. Her coffin will be lowered into the royal vault and the tv cameras will then switch off from the chapel. She will finally be buried in a private ceremony at 7:30pm. Hope this helps.

Many Thanks for your kind thoughts. Great Britain is still very raw and sad. Many Americans have flown across to pay their respects, from interviews with them i have seen on TV, they are very emotionally affected, and say the most respectful and nice compliments. The most poignant moment before Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth 11 funeral on Monday, will be “At 8pm, today Sunday, September 18, the night before the state funeral, there will be a one-minute silence where the Nation will fall silent in reflection to mourn and reflect on the life and legacy our Queen Elizabeth II. A national two-minute silence is to be held across the UK on Monday at 11.55am, as Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's funeral ends. I think the whole world will fall silent at this very sad time. Complementing your own kind comments on the loss of our Queen Elizabeth 11, one touching moment from our American cousins i have seen, is from The Natashia and Debbie Show, at the beginning of their reaction to "Balmoral Castle Tour", as they enter their thoughts into the official royal.uk on line book of remembrance. On the subject of the gun carriage, I read that the gun carriage to be used on the day to transport the coffin from Westminster Hall to the Abbey (to be pulled by naval service personnel) is the actual one used at Queen Victoria's funeral and normally kept by the Royal Navy at Portsmouth whereas the one used earlier to convey her body from Buckingham Palace (pulled by horses) was a later one belonging to the Royal Artillery and used at Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother's funeral and some other state funerals in the 20th century..

The queues for us ordinary people to show our respect as our Queen lays in state, were 5 miles long today with a 16 hours wait! Yesterday they were asking people not to join the queue as I think it went to 23 hours wait at some point King Charles said his Mother ,our late Queen, would not have believed it ! I guess it proves how good we are ,as a nation , at queueing! Our Queen was well loved. God bless

This operation is incorrect, as its operation Unicorn. Lying in State in Edinburgh, flew to London. The Lying in State in Westminster Hall (built 1097). The crowds queuing are unbelievable, queues to get to queue. I hoped you got to watch the funeral procession from Buckingham Palace to Westminster, our boys (military) did us proud. Thank you for your interest.

The Documentary was made prior to the Queens death by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation that's why they did make mistakes but overall it's been relatively accurate!

I guess maybe record your reaction to it live, and put the full version on patreon and the edited version on here to save copyright issues. Hope you can find a good channel to watch it on. The BBC usually do the best coverage when it comes to events like this, should be able to watch on their website without an issue. Thanks for covering it, it has been an emotional few days.

This Australian video has been overtaken by events. The Queen's coffin was flown to London for security reasons. People were very disappointed to be denied their farewells along the royal train route. The gun carriage bearing her coffin from Westminster Hall to the Abbey will be pulled manually by naval ratings and the military have been practising at 4.0am to get everything right. I think it would be better for you to watch the funeral and comment afterwards. Make sure it's British coverage and then you'll get all the info. Many thanks for being such a friend across the pond.

Joel, I can't tell you how much it means to us Brits that you are taking such an interest in the events following the Queen's death ♥️. It would probably be better if you just posted clips from the funeral. I don't think it will be possible for you to watch it livestream & comment .Thanks once again x ( I agree with other posters . If you can watch from 10.30 am our time on Monday, to watch the procession to Westminster Abbey .)

Just a point - the funeral service at Westminster Abbey will start at 11.00 am (UK time). It will be worth watching the procession from Westminster Hall to the Abbey (I think that it starts 15 minutes before the service). There will also be a longer procession after the funeral service back along the Mall, past Buckingham Palace and up to Hyde Park. Both of these will be spectacular.

Thank you again Joel for your kind words. It is a sad time here in the UK . The sadness seems to creep up on you. You think you’re feeling fine about it all then suddenly you get very emotional. Monday is going to be a very sad emotional time for us all. I hope you can get to see all the people that have come from all places to Westminster Hall to pay their respects. The queues are miles and miles long every day for 24 hours. You tube are streaming it live 24 hours Our Queen was so loved. Hope to see you on Tuesday Joel.

The public response to the death of Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth has been incredible. The various ceremonial elements of the period of mourning have been both fascinating and very moving to witness. The record crowds who have travelled to London and stood in that queue for up to 12 hours for just a few seconds to pay their respects is unprecedented. Monday's State Funeral will be a grand affair, the biggest funeral in world history. Billions of people around the world will watch making it one of the highest TV audiences of all time. These are truly momentous historical events unfolding before our eyes and will be remembered for a lifetime by those who witness them.

The part when she comes down from Scotland to London is wrong. She was actually transported by aircraft, a RAF C-17 Globemaster. This also made history as the most tracked flight ever. An estimated 6,000,000 people tried to track the plane, crashing a number of the servers .

England is so steeped in tradition, making something like a death of anyone of dignity seem even more special. It’s something we could learn from. I’ve been watching most all of the videos concerning the death of the Queen, and it is very impressive. She will not be soon forgotten. I give you kudos for taking time out to learn about this process, and that you shared it with others on here. I can tell from your expressions that this touches you. Made me nearly tear up. For those under the Queen, my heart felt condolences. I hope the King can follow in the Queen’s footsteps. ❤❤

It hasn't been 'awful for me and most of the people I know. We're just going about our lives as we usually do. How can we sob and wail because a very very old woman died, especially since none of use even knew her? This whole thing is a farce. No sports, everything will close. Bike parking not allowed. Doctors and hospital appointments won't happen. Funerals are banned on the day and a holiday village has told residents they have to stay in their chalets on the dy. Bloody ridiculous.

Regarding the cost, which as you say is completely worth it, it has been pointed out that Prince William’s wedding cost £5 million, but brought in £5 billion through tourism and souvenirs etc. so the press which is going hard at the cost (mostly foreign press) are failing to mention the second part of the equation. Royalty always brings in more than it costs. I thing she will be known in future as the most beloved monarch in history. Rest in peace Ma’am.

The Queen has been the one constant in mine and many lives and it’s such a major loss. I’ve never seen her in the flesh but listening to the many that have has been so calming and comforting as hearing their stories and learning of her kindness and sharp wit. If I could I would have traveled to pay my respects whilst lying in state…..no matter the wait….and stayed for the funeral. I’m sure Charles will be a great king just have to get used to it now…..God Save The King 👑 It’s good to get other nations thoughts/reviews of this so thanks for that

I somewhat wish they did transfer the Queen to London by the Royal Train, but the logistics apparently made that too difficult. Given the crowds we are seeing in London, the same thing would have happened with the train and it would have taken too long. Thanks for your review, always nice to see an American viewpoint (especialy if respectful like yours).

It is a shame that the Royal Train was stood down, but I can understand why. Prominent rail charters often attract trespassers on the lines (from people trying to get a better view or a good photo) and I'd imagine this would happen here. It'd be impossible to keep the route/identity of the train secret because train running data is publicly accessible and even when they try to disguise a train's head code it always leaks.

@@beeurd King George V1 who died at Sandringham came back to London by train but that was in the 1950's, headcode for Royal Train used to be 1Z99 but was never made public as far as I know.

I would like to send my love and respects to all of your Australian watchers. I have just watched a documentary covering the events in Melbourne in 2017. It was an horrific day with terrible consequences but your citizens dealt with it, and still are dealing with it, with great dignity. It was beautiful to see the way you came together to help each other and with very little animosity towards the deranged killer, prefering instead to concentrate on healing and carrying on. xxx

Oh Joel, you are such a credit to your country and if I had any power, I'd make you an honorary British citizen. Most of us are doing OK over here, obviously we are sad, but we are coming to terms with the loss of our beloved Queen, but our feeling of loss is mitigated by the unity around most of the nation (obviously there are people who disagree with the Monarchy). I for one would love to see your reaction AFTER you have watched the funeral in however many words you can say.
