Will you be able to add BNSF trains running in a loop through the diamonds at Rochelle, IL near the RR park? Do you have room to do so? That would be neat to see especially as it affects E-W traffic on the Geneva Sub.

You are correct, but I believe the train takes NS trackage to get there.

The left hand running has to do with the Metra commuter passenger service and the location of stations.

The ns engines have union pacific crews till they get to ns controlled track

Diesel engines with steam locos. Not much realism there.

The steam locos lead two excursion trains. Modeled after actual prototype Union Pacific excursion trains. The 2 steam locos on the layout are #3985 and #844. Look it up and then come back here and apologize :)
