Arma 3 alpha lol? It was an utter mess. Reforgers on point now though. For a "tech demo" its already better than most full fledged tac shooters on the market. Once you get into it you wont be able to go back to babyish handholding BF clones like Squad or HLL.

A key thing to remember, is this "game" is a tech demo, Its not a full release arma title, its a tech demo on the new engine. Bohemia is working on arma 4, and using this as a testbed for modders so when A4 comes out, The modders are already well versed in the mod tools and communities dont have to wait for their modders to learn the new engine before they can transfer over.

@@elkien3 Like I said, Its a test bed, They do work on it as evidenced by them working with communities in the game to sus out the connectivity and stability issues. Majority of the feedback ends up going towards Arma 4 though instead, where as key things such as connection stability, server stability, etc will be worked on in Reforger because those are key to Arma 4 having a clean launch.

What I like about the modded equipment (uniforms ect) is that they don't stick out like a sore thumb in game, unlike in ARMA 3 where non vanilla assets were pretty noticeably off putting.

Klean’s new Realism server runs incredibly well. I played about 4 hrs last night and only DC’d once and was auto reconnected in my truck with no problems. Server never dipped below 30 fps, and I maintained over 60fps with my old computer. I am addicted to this game.

@@AJ--212 PTSD is very weird. When I got home I just felt off. I never was the same after the war. It's normalized now because I've lived with it for 20 years. But I will still never feel like I did before the war. I'll never get solid sleep again or be able to be in a crowded area without checking for threats constantly. It's not even on purpose it's like a second nature and makes me anxious. War was a crazy experience and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Just never knew what PTSD was going to be like and it's more than some guys can handle. Especially the ones who never get help.

Arma Reforger has definitely improved in the past 2 years and while there are still MANY issues that need to be addressed as the video clearly points out in the intro, the game brings a lot to the table and I'm not only talking about the graphics but in all aspects. The animation looks a lot smoother, gun-play and movement feel amazing compared to other Arma installments, including Arma 3 WITH mods. The game master function is incredibly user friendly and simple, so simple a person can learn how to run an operation by simply experimenting by yourself for an hour, allowing anyone to host a game, privately or in public lobbies. This game has a greater potential than any other installments and once they flesh out the finer details and continue to support the modding platform, that is when this game will truly take off like never before.

sorry to burst the bubble but it's not going to truly take off. Reforger is a test bed for bug fixing/modders for Arma 4 and that's all it's ever been. the minute Bohemia get what they want out of it it's getting dropped like a sack of potatoes... not that it's a BAD THING, because when Arma 4 comes out WHO DOGGY that game is going to be PEAK with all the info they've been getting with reforger, this is more a reminder that the game isn't a "game" but a test that will eventually drop support.

By far the worst thing about arma is the foliage drop off at distances. Ruins the game, you can't hide in grass because it's not rendered after a certain point. I really hope they solve that in Arma 4 somehow

The game itself is absolutely golden. The gun play, the insane amount of interactability. Incredibly well done NPCs. I got back on reforger because of your videos when I first got it nobody was playing it I went on my first operation in arma ever on a pve server it was night I barely found nvgs and tracer rounds for my m60 before hopping in a medic Humvee as the convoy was rolling out I messed up and forgot my map I had no idea where I was where my squad was at 1 point I was running up and down a road carrying messages between Humvees about road blocks I was so afraid of getting left behind I couldn't hear anything but I made it out 10/10

I remember playing this at launch and I just thought I didn't know wtf I was doing. Come to find out it was just broken. Just picked it up again earlier this week and was honestly blown away by the performance. I never drop below 140 frames and usually sit at 160ish. Haven't really had any crashes or game breaking bugs and I've been having a great time. It actually got me off Hell Divers. Hopefully they ramp up the support for this one and it turns into something crazy or it at least makes a good stepping stone for A4

i love this game, my first game a few days ago, i did just a svd sniper build no rpg or big backpack or anything, just sniping, and had a blast defending the power station with just 3 other guys, initially we had a full squad in a chopper but they either died or moved on. but it was intense just having us 3 defend against sometimes 2 squads. it's the more fun than arma 3 in my opinion.
