Drew, per your question at 10:45, the reason you still need to tip up a bit despite being zeroed in is because you are at a lower elevation. Zeroing the scope at equal elevation will hit the center of the scope. Once you and the target differ in elevation, you need to compensate. You know, just answering 2 year old questions...

At 10:35 The target was at 900 mt but it was higher than you. The bullets loose energy to get altitude and so they slow down, giving gravity more time to pull them down.

The only time I go below 60fps is when traveling through a big city going really fast or in a helicopter, and then it only goes to about 45-50. Then again my pc is nothing short of beast. But still, it is possible to get above 30.

When you shoot at an angle, the velocity of the bullet could be described as three vectors that get added together, however, gravity only acts vertically so the more vertically you shoot, the more you have to adjust for gravity because it slows your bullet more.

When you get a long range kill, the game tells you the exact distance and rewards you with bonus points. It said 900, but the notifier for the Long Range kill said 901. That is why you needed to aim a bit high. 1 meter may not seem like a lot, but over such distances, 1 meter can make a big difference.

for the bullet drop and zeroing, remember that gun's zeroed on a FLAT surface. When you shoot up the hill you have to account for the angle. It would be going in a different direction when you shooting down. For some guns math is like add/subtract XX mils o scope for every 10 degrees of angle change.

btw 300 on the ranging is actually 350, it always adds 50 for some reason, so if you can get your enemy 350m away and set the ranging to 300 it should be spot on

If you want the big prizes like the large money shipment you have to carry the required equipment, well thought out plan to need to take it and most of all you need to be patience with a rifle to take out the soldier AI carefully and quickly to get the money

If your target has a higher elevation than yourself, you will have to aim up a little more than the actual range to compensate for the bullets climb upwards, and the opposite for a target below your elevation. ARMA 2 functioned the same way. Also, when using approximate ranging, it's better to range lower than the distance, and then aim up to compensate for the extra yardage. So, at an 850 range, set gun to 800, and aim at the very top of the head, maybe just above.

Slope. You need to account for slope or elevation difference. Your bullet trajectory remains the same but if you are below your target, the target level is found sooner and shorter. Try adding 10-15% vertical hold for every 10m below target.

drewski u went full derp for a moment lol if u are shooting at a target in tower4(on most servers) that tower is id say 100m ish high that may be tomuch but ill use it for an example shooting from ground lv 1km out means u zero or aim as if its 1025-1050m away due to more gravity effect where if u were on top of tower4 shooting 1km u only need to aim like its 900-950m due to a lesser effect if that makes since

Distance is 899m. Elevation is 1.6°. Real shooting distance is 899m*cos(1,6)=898,6m The shooting distance is lower if you are shooting in an angle, regardless if you shoot down- or up-hill. But there are many other factors that could influence the path of the bullet, although 900m is not that far away (in ARMA 3)

You need a pretty good cpu and gpu combo. The cpu needs to be a high clocked intel processor for results and a good gpu with 4 gb of vram is good. Sadly I have a AMD cpu and this game doesn't run too well because Arma is optimized for single core performance rather than multi core/threaded performance. Really hope they can fix the engine and optimize for both single core and multi core performance.

The reason for that zeroing issue was because the relative distance in elevation while not much creates an added 20-40 meter range for the bullet that you'd need to account for. In reality this means the bullet will have a change of about 8-15 inches at that range. The force of gravity and wind resistance acts 2ildly different when shooting upwards compared to downwards and the bullet transitions often from going up to flying level and then downwards. When shooting a rice usually engagements don't need long range so sighting it in is easy. With long range rifles you're actually having to deal with a lot more physics.

The height of the target relative to the shooter effects velocity and range, so a target higher than you can be 900 meters away but also you need to aim up because the bullet is traveling upward and that takes more energy causing more bullet drop

This is why snipers are one of the scariest types of players in shooter games I've been sniping in shooter games for a long time one time in a Roblox game me and my team were having a standoff at the bridge and I could see like problably 10%of their head and I sniped them they kept coming back and dying
