Here it is ! Probably my biggest drum cover and the one I am most proud of. The only reason there's not a lot of Opeth covers is because of how difficult their songs are. I love this band so much and I feel so inspired listening to Martin Lopez and Martin Axenrot drum parts. They are both huge inspiration for me and absolutely incredible creative drummers.
This song took quite a while to learn and I tried my very best to master it before recording it to have the best result.
It's the first time I've cried at the end of a drum cover. During this pandemic I worked harder than ever trying to become a better drummer. I've challenged myself a lot despite having no gigs at all. Finding the discipline and motivation is not always easy. When I learned this song and many of the recent on my channel I felt very proud of myself. I had an incredible feeling of self love that's hard to describe with words. I feel more and more accomplished as a drummer and I seriously love my life working as a full time musician.

Bravo. Practice paying off...! Lots to remember. Tastefully played, too. You deserve to feel proud of this. My only recommendation would be to tune that FT up a little bit to better follow the tom tunings. Minor detail but you strike me as someone striving toward a flawless rendition.

Is full of drummers on KZbin, but you that a drummer is good and has fine taste for music when is covering opeth rather than usual, common, pantera or metallica (which I love don't get me wrong, but the drumming is not as complicated as opeth's one). At first I thought this was a way too more agressive playing of the original but it wasnt long after I let go of that initial knee jerk judgement in place of my final positive review that this is a very entertaining and rewatchable and inspiring spirited cover of the original. Wholst the parts are near or even precise covers of the original, the dynamic attavk seems more pronounced in this players playing of thw parts. Instead of my original critique of this dunic detail, i found myself won ovwr and pleasantly surprised with how enjoyable this drummers personal touch has on this particular audio experience. I'm glad i kept watcjing amd listening and as for his playing of the set as a whole? Jaw droppimg! His double kick work is simply incredible and his drum set work and dexterity is a lesson for myself in drum set phrasing andovement

When Lopez left Opeth was when I started to tune out. No shade on Axenrot but the difference was apparent and immediate and frankly Lopez's beats were a critical element to what I vibed with about Opeth.
