The Moor, from the album Still Life (1999). Slightly abridged intro riff, as we felt it was way too long to play it 12 times in a row... Enjoy ;)

Arguably the most technical Opeth song we've covered so far. The Moor is the whole package. It feels like it uses the entire guitar fretboard somehow (shoutout to the nasty harmonized riff at 2:24). Definitely one of our favourites from the amazing Still Life album. Which other song from Still Life would you like to hear next?

Great job. Sounded great. There are so many Opeth songs that translate very well to acoustic instrumental style. Amazing melodic band they are.

brilliant! Best the moor cover on youtube👏🏻 How long have you been playing guitar? And how long will it take me to learn this piece?( i have been playing for 6 months)
@ComplexAmmoАй бұрын
Thanks! Well it really depends on your motivation / consistency with your practice. We have been playing on and off for about 15(ish) years. But with enough time and motivation you could get good results in only a few months I’m sure

If you find a vocalist it will be a next step in your covers
@zeldazofficial4197 ай бұрын
Yeah maybe… and again, it feels nice to just have the instruments sometimes. Although, it can get confusing for counting the number of riffs of a particular section, not having a vocalist.. 😅

The song is amazing, but unfortunately due to specific structures of most of the riffs sounds not that good on acoustic guitars.
@zeldazofficial4197 ай бұрын
Strongly disagree here! Also, it’s one of the most enjoyable ones to play, especially the first half IMO
