Hello Irene, I try and answer all questions, but I do have a fulltime job and life as well as crochet. The 103 is the width as you work on this sideways, you make it as long as you wish. Hope this helps, Anja x

I tried to follow along with a sampler of my own, but I managed to loose 2 stitches between rows 5 and 6. Had to redo and I *think* I figured out what I did wrong. But will definitively have to count my way through this one before I get the hang of it! eta: If there ever was a reality show about crocheting, it would have to be called "So you think you can count?"

Thank you, Anja! This is beautiful and I'm glad you gave the instruction on how to do a sampler because the yarn I started with was good to learn on but definitely the wrong fiber to drape well. It's really a fun repeat so I will find a better yarn and start with the full size. 😊. You are an excellent teacher and you are correct that your second round was helpful to see the repeat fall together again.

I just started this beautiful shawl, however, in the beginning, 3 rd row I believe, single crochet chain 2 , 2 double crochets, chain 2 etc etc …I came to the end of the row to the last stitch and it was supposed to end with two double crochets but on my end, it is single. I tracked my work to beginning and I did everything right and my initial chains was 103 per your instructions . What have I done wrong? Should I just start all over again ? What should I make my foundation chain?please help thank you

Canolli2944, I find crochet to be the most forgiving craft, so if you're one stitch short, just add one, don't fret over it. Crochet is fun remember, thank you, Anja x

I have a question. I decided to add 2 balls to each of my different color shawls and am finding the sides aren't even. Could be my tension is different on the additional length I am adding. Should I be concerned, need to pull out and restart my add-on balls in a larger hook or something else??? Really need a solution, as I am not sure what to do. I have 7 or 8 different colors I am doing.

Hello Anja I have completed 50 inches of the shawl but noticed that it is flaring out. The stitch count is correct so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. It does look odd with the flare. Do you have any suggestions please? I used a 4mm hook and normally I would use a 3.5 hook. Should I go up to 4.5?

If you go up to a 4.5 it will flare even more Tatiana, if anything you need to come down to a 3.75 or a 3.5 hook to tighten the tension, Anja x

King Cole cottonsoft is a DK wt (#3) with approx 229 yd/ball = 1,374 yds. Wendy Supreme Cotton Love is DK wt with approx 360 yds/ball = 1,440 yds.

Not sure if you are querying this, but I would like to mention king Cole cottonsoft is 100% cotton and Wendy supreme cotton love is a mix of 50% cotton and 50% acrylic
