I have to say that OPI is great because people know their colours and slowly OPI will bring them all out in OPI Gels. We wear it and can do all therapies : )

Thanks for your feedback however this video is based on the steps that a New Zealand OPI distributing trainer advised to adapt and follow as the OPI Gel Color wasn't lasting on people. We don't use Swiss Guard based on the NZ distributors advice who recommended dry cuticle work.

Is it sticky and tacky? You need to wipe over with a cotton pad that has been sprayed with NAS or Isopropyl (alcohol)

I've not done any gel nails (training) I dare say I will do.. however, as you know in our trade, it can be difficult to wear a nail colour.. would be nice to have a good french manicure though, as we're allowed this.. I'm about to have a go at ombre nails.. as I am out on a date tonight! Love the tips, and definately something to consider when choosing which nail company to go with :D x

You forgot to use your NAS99 before applying bondaid. You don't buff the nail before soaking! The OPI way is that there is NOOOO buffing involved when soaking off. Use swiss guard, it doesn't contain any oil, it prevents nail damage when pushing back cuticles! kind regards O.P.I educator SOUTH AFRICA

Do you buff the staining off then apply OPI Gel Color. I am aware that you buff for nail prep. If you buff staining does it require more buffing than on the nail prep. My concern is that it will remove the shine off the nail and make the nail more likely to stain again and also with colors that do not normally stain. Thanks for all your help.

Don't listen to the people who doesn't know what they are talking about. UV lamps work with both gel color and shellac. It's just one dries quicker than the other. Active Nail salon owner in KY!

Hi thanks your video was helpful. Do you think the OPI LG Innotek GL902 LED Nail Lamp/Dryer for OPI GelColor Gel Nails - 2017 would work as well as the lamp you have? There's a big price difference. I've been using CND and it keeps peeling off within a few days!

Question I have been told to wipe with alcohol in between coats of color is this really necessary? Because I have found that this step is what introduces alot of lint even though I used the O.P.I lint free wipes.

+Ever Evey no I never wipe in between, In fact I've been told the stickiness helps the next coat adhere better (unsure if really true tho)

Hi. I have the opi led lamp gc900 (black) I used gelish and young nails gel polishes, but I have clients who complaint about peeling off after 2 or 3 days. I do the prep correcly and follow product direccions. LED lamp is almost new. This did not happen with other LED lamps. Do you know what could I be doing wrong? Thanks

My lamp is the older version, I did try the newer white lamp but it kept having sensoring issues and wouldn't turn on. In the end I returned it and stuck with my old ones.

Thats really weird then that the gels aren't staying on. With that issue it's normally oil on the nail bed or not curing for the full 60 secs or fingers not underneath the very back lights properly, or it could be the formulation of the brand you use, or the lights have had their day and need replacing. So many variables

Yes we use 5 other brands, but we have ALWAYS cured for 60 seconds minimum

Bond aid helps adhesion but it dries the hell out of your nail plate. I work with these products 12 hrs a day 7 days a week. Some opi GelColors will stain your nail bed, but NOT Russion Navy-unless you got it a fake opi brand.

She says that CND shellac will not work with LED lamps. They will only cure with a UV lamp unfortunately
