about the cockroaches and taping up the assholes: I received about dozen baby Madagascar hissing cockroach from a friend who had the adults as pets. They were fun to keep around for a while, and they were easy to care for because of their diet. I kept them in a simple Tupperware container. After I got over this phase and got rid of them, 5 months later I was cleaning out my room...There were dvd cases on my shelf fully closed that had dead cockroach babies inside them. There were all kinds of tightly closed containers that they had somehow gotten into and i was finding bodies in. Also remember, I had them tightly sealed away as pets inside a tightly closed Tupperware container. This means that their slender little bodies can squeeze between your Tupperware, they can get into *closed* dvd cases. They can wriggle and writhe their way into hard to reach areas very easily. Have you ever seen a goat or an ibex scaling a mountain or a cliff , even though it doesnt look equipped? Thus is the strength of the cockroach in tight areas

She had closets full of random junk mail all individually bagged and labeled. She finally moved and we found all kinds of other weird shit. Random cardboard boxes and pieces of cut plywood wrapped in bags and stored in the bathtub (aka another closet). No clue where/if she showered since or was full of crap. I hate dirty hoarders. I have helped clean up several hoarder houses. I say NEVER AGAIN! Such people should be arrested and put in jail and their houses bull dozed complete! And it is a thankless job. One time the lady dumped a bucket of water over my head and then beat me with the bucket! Think I am mean? Go clean up a filthy hoarder house and then come back and tell me what you think.
@ennuiblue42955 жыл бұрын
I do think the show lumps everyone together. There's compulsive shoppers and collective enthusiasts (who have problems but they're organized and or/clean) and lazy slobs who live in filth and let everything become putrid and rancid 🤔 they should have a separate show for them 'total tear down'
@adamcarbo734 жыл бұрын
Nah, I have cleaned more houses than I can count. I have entered, a multitude of low level- to highest level hoarder houses, and killing them never crossed my mind. To this day, I feel nothing but sympathy/empathy for any person who lived in the homes I cleaned. Several of the houses I did were truly unbelievable. The first one you come across, where you need to shovel garbage, to help be able to place a foot inside, is a powerful rush of shock and disbelief. It's a feeling of surrealism.
