Opie's job was to introduce the talent and stay out of the way, but he thought his job was to scuttle every bit he couldn't contribute to. He was not happy to sit there and get rich he wanted it to be about him, and he was always the least interesting and more importantly least funny in the room. Hell 95% of the time if an intern, any intern walked into the room Opie dropped a rung on the funny depth chart.

Bill Burr, though I love ‘em, was being hella sensitive and the moment he said “yeah Patrice it’s not satellite radio” even as a joke - he had to realize that THAT didn’t help - that’s all Patrice was saying. When he said it, O&A, then O&A and Paul Virzi (I think) added on because THEY are satellite so THEY also were like “oh wow Bill good one - NOT! Shit list”. Bill Burr knows his joke actually bombed and made it worse, but here he just can’t accept that. And then you have Patrice being totally willing to show Bill love and even say “I apologize! I think bill did do what he though Patrice would do, and Patrice would have but because he is bills friend he would have stuck up for him after. I fault nobody. Classic case of two people talking straight past each other. Patrice's real problem was after he was all pissed off after the show, Bill called him making fun. But Patrice was so caught up in the anger about the show he didn't really get to that point which was really his issue. Then bill's only heard this weak undetailed info what people are saying about how Patrice talked about him, and he's getting defensive from being yelled at and they never have any time to actually get what the other peron's actual problem is.
