When comedian and documentary filmmaker W. Kamau Bell - the Peabody and Emmy award-winning television producer, stand-up comedian and co-author of the book “Do the Work! An Antiracist Activity Book” - sat down with his goddaughter Olivia Rynberg-Going and asked about her new job, he had no idea how much he would learn about her and our government.
In his opinion piece, titled “The Rookie,” Kamau takes a deep dive into Olivia’s life, a winding road from Florida to Maine to California and finally to Washington, D.C.
