I find that opporto is all about the sauce, every menu item has the potential to be great but but ends up being underwhelming because of the lack of care in preparation. If the chicken patty on the bondi burger was crispy it would be amazing, the chips are usually undercooked. The garlic sause and chilli sauce however make up for the rest

I lived in Nth Bondi back in the late 80s right around the corner from the original Oporto. There would be a line down the street sometimes to get the grub. It was next level awesome. What the franchise system Oporto's serves up is next to rubbish. Its crap.

The regular chilli ones are much better. You can get 1 to 3 fillets on your burger. The quarter chicken box with chilli basting is pretty good. Oporto is a healthier option to KFC but I would not tell 2 aussie that. I prefer the healthier grilled flavour myself.
