'the life of Pokemon flows back into him' hit the nail on the head, SM era had concepts that got you REALLY hyped - last time I felt that way was VMAX Climax because of the way Trainers are interacting with Pokemon on the cards. One thing is for sure, Creatures Inc are full of surprises, I have no doubt VSTAR Universe will light the fire again man. Awesome video, you've gotta do more in-depth content like this more often!

Opening up the Tag Team GX era packs was some of the best and most enjoyable pack openings I’ve had in the 20+ years I’ve been playing/collecting card games. It was before the hype and I could still buy plenty of Pokémon cards at my local Walmart for dopamine hits while slogging through the misery of grad school. The GX cards, even just the regular ones were so cool and had such great art. I remember one night after a class, I was so miserable, I went to Walmart and they had all of the Tag Team GX tins, and I bought them all, opened them up and just loved the cards.

Oh yeah similar story to you after getting off work having a particularly crappy day, also went and cracked some tag team era packs and just had a blast! Gx cards are dope and V cards are nice, but that tag team era and tag team Gx cards were just the dopest for sure, just in idea and presentation! Appreciate the feedback and thank ya! 🙏🏽

sun and moon was one of my personal favorite pokemon game's because it reminded me of living back in Hawaii again. a lot of good memories with friends and family. plus, the whole idea of rainbow rares starting with sun and moon makes sense because hawaii is known as the rainbow state.

I just picked up two Ricky Henderson Rc and second year cards. I got the 1980 Topps Rickey Henderson 7 sgc and the Topps 1981 Henderson psa 8, I got both cards for 90.00 bucks. I also got a box full of Pokémon cards recently in a collection I purchased. I posted a video about the collection I picked up. Great video my friend. Keep it up the good work my dude.

@@OpossumBud I definitely got lucky and I might have a Mj star Gatorade and a Lemieux Rookie, but I am thinking that they are reprints, I have to get my friend to check the Mj out and the Lemieux card to see if they are real. That would be one the biggest finds I have ever gotten before. I personally like the Marvel card's which are super produced, but the art work is amazing and I love the vintage look of the card's. I am going to post a recap of the stuff I got. It will be fun my dude.

Liking the longer content. I think people forget about the 1.25x/1.5x speed options. I don't think you need to keep telling people to go watch someone else if they don't agree with you. I've found people who dont like you/disagree with you watch/engage/comment more than your fans lol :). Love the comment about the ultra beasts. I think unless you watched the anime you don't really *get* them. And idk how many TCG fans are still religiously watching the anime. I doubt we'll see many of them again, if at all. I think they kinda just *stay* in the set for the games they came out in.

I'm going back and watching some of your older videos and this one seriously hits different! I'm not gonna lie. I got back into pokemon shortly before the hype really hit, and that's because Pokémon was doing it RIGHT! Tag Teams are the Alpha and the Omega! They are what truly pulled me back head over heels into collecting. The art and the concept itself was GAME CHANGING! I firmly believe that Sun and Moon did it better.

Really enjoyed the details analysis on this one! Cosmic Eclipse is my favourite modern set quite comfortably. I had so much fun opening it, and I'm only 16 cards away from completing it! As much as I like SWSH, I do think S&M is a slightly better era than SWSH, but not by too much. Amazing content as always!

My main issue with Sw/Sh is the reverses are so ugly compared to S/M 😭😭 I like the promo holos but the holos actually in the set are iffy for me as well. Other than that I've had a good time with both.

Yeah that’s a good point to add the reverses definitely tanked imo in SwSh personally, especially the dark types with the weird hard to tell reverse holo… I agree with that 👀

Sun and Moon was just a whole vibe lol yea some sets weren't as popular but every gen has that. The nostalgia is so real with Sun and Moon because they started so many things that carried over into sword and shield. Don't get me wrong, there are amazing cards in the sw/sh Era (ahem glaceon v alt art and glaceon vmax alt art) but I feel Sun and moon had more diversity. Also, I won't stop talking about evolving skies until I get my Glaceon Vmax alt art 😂😂 Great info and video as always 🙌

First off battle styles is a cool set. Tag teams are definitely a dope concept and I'm really loving all the character rares that are coming out lately. Sun and moon though seems to have had a little bit more playability with some of their more "cooler" cards

I got back into Pokémon after 10 years out of the hobby during the very beginning of of the Sword and Shield E block. Shining Fucking Fates was my first set back. Scalpland. What a tough time to get back in. Spent so much on overpriced garbage. But I’m glad I’m back. I am actually playing the TCG now. Very fun and wouldn’t have been able to have the experiences I did when I had them. Thank you SwSh. I hope Scarlet and Violet TCG is good and fun to play

Duuude I miss the feeling of pulling a half art or full art EX eeveelution, lol. So iconic. Now they seem boring to most people, but those cards had such heavy texture (and no texture on the half arts) but it was so nice to pull.

Watching this just made me sad because I had started collecting again when XY came out but stopped right when SM came out because I had orders to go to Korea and I knew I wasn’t going to be able to collect while I was out there. Great video my friend and I'd have to agree with you on this. Sun and Moon had more originality and creativity with the cards mechanics and themes. I personally give an edge to current alt arts for art quality but that's no shade to the alts in Sun and Moon. Mewtube might still be the best alt to date. Love this vid man. 🙌

Bro this was such a great video. I got back into the game last Christmas so I'm pretty new. Sun and moon year three is by far my favorite sets. I open alot of sword and shield, and its fun and all. But if I find any sun and moon year 3 packs for a good price I jump on it. I really enjoy unified minds, and I'm getting my first 2 packs of team up next week. Keep up the fantastic content.

As a binder collector and a tcg player this was awesome to hear since tag teams were great. So year 1 to me for both sets was a draw. Yr 2 went to sword and shield. Yr 3 so far is going to sun and moon. So basically a tie between the sets is what I got

Great topic to cover. I feel with SwSh there was a lot of hit or miss with their sets. But I have to say it is crazy to look at the beggining ot SwSh and where it's evolved in the last like 2 years. I'm interested to see once the Scarlet/Violet tcg era begins what we will see.

One of my favorite cards I own is the 101/95 pikarom from tag bolt. I also pulled every rarity of that buzzswole phermosa gx. Doesn't really do it for me but I'm happy to have them. I still have two sealed boxes of unified minds. Man those were some monster sets.

I don't see the problem with having the trainer gallery cards, if pull rates were lower everybody would go crazy for them. I love the accessibility, personally. But I am one of those collectors who just wanna fill up binders of pretty cards. Never cared for slabs

Got no issue with them either, but they will stop going into Scarlet and Violet. The Trainer Gallery only exists because they didn’t port VMax Climax from Japan as a full set, they just split it up in the Trainer Gallery over multiple sets. Pretty binder pages are cool?

I wished I started much earlier with s&m than with s&s to actually know how good s&m sets were. There definitely is a huuuge diff that s&s cannot compare to. S&M just has that different magic like the smell of fresh packs in the morning than s&s morning breath🤣🤣. But slowly I'm getting some sets in s&m singles than the packs seeing there's still a price gap I have to face. But I do like the trainer fullart cards the most!

My swsh set review Base was fine it's like most base just introducing the gimmick Rebels clash was ok not a lot of chase cards other than dragapult Champions path never opened so no opinion Darkness ablaze pretty competitive and had some favorite mons Vivid in my opinion is painful and had crappy pull rates Shining fates was really fun and got a lot of fun shinies Battle styles was bad literally got nothing Chilling reign in my opinion is underrated and had a lot of great cards Evolving skies it hasn't been a year and I'm already nostalgic for. Got my first full art v being umbreon and my first alt arts being medicham and dragonite. The regular holos and cards had my favorite artwork Fuison strike was eh adding a new style was pointless and disappointing that it only lasted for one set. Brilliant stars is a great set got my first money card being charizard v alt. TG are a nice touch. Astral radiance was my 2nd favorite swsh set. Loved the hisuian cards mostly typhlosion and got the 2 most expensive cards in the set. Pokemon go was trash and boring and disappointing was expecting more but really didn't do anything with the theme. I'm going to miss the v vmax and vstar era just as I do with with ex and tag team
