Right now we’ve got a bunch of degenerates using bots buying ALL of the cards, reselling them for 2-3x their face value, preventing anyone who actually gives a damn about the cards from being able to buy them. My daughter and I got back into collecting several months ago and within just the past couple months it’s gotten so crazy. It’s went from being able to go to target and Walmart and actually have choices to not having any product available within an hour after restock. Kinda ruins the hobby for us, may just buy singles from now on, which is smarter but I like ripping packs and so does my daughter.

I hate non allocation order screens. Like I understand they don't know how much they'll have at launch, But I like where if I have two in my cart I have a timer that those two are mine until I either leave or finish my checkout. I hate getting to the "place my order" button screen and get an error. I couldn't order booster bundles when that notice went out. I got an error after filling out all my information. Gave up. Got the notice for the PC ETB, That one went right through.

Well, to be fair, it's still about the Pokémon, not that much about trainers, right? In Hop's Zacian's card, people are excited for Zacian, not for Hop, right? Maybe Iono is an exeption. Without the Pokémon on it, the excitement would be so much lower I think. It is frustrating to get blocked. Over here in Europe, the Majority of webshops haven't even put pre-orders on yet. Heck, for us to get PC ETB's it's a nightmare now, as we don't even have a Pokémon Center over here... I was able to buy 3 booster boxes for an average of €137 per box, so I'm pretty happy about that...

With each passing day, I'm more and more thankful that Mrs. Lechonkamania was able to secure us 2 PC ETBs for Prismatic Evolutions. It will be the first PC ETB that we've ever got/opened, and by the looks of it they will be the last we get for quite some time ahead.. All this stuff is crazy discouraging, and we are but humble Lechonk collectors, we just want a few packs to open together for fun, not build a investment or a super expensive collection.. Pokemon centre could easily give a loyalty system that allows regular buyers to get priority on pre sales. No reason they couldnt do something like that. I think for people that regularly order from them, there should not be any reason for them to miss out on a popular release or a special promo etc.

As a fan whose been in this hobby since 2016 (now bout to turn 19 years old), it sucks how much hate is given to modern sets since the XY era because they don’t have a major chase card that is worth hundreds of dollars. Sets like XY Break Point, Sword and Shield Astral Radiance, and especially Scarlet and Violet Temporal Forces are left forgotten due to the reasoning that these sets don’t have “expensive chase cards” and don’t feature “very popular Pokemon” like Rayquaza, Snorlax, or another Charizard. Each of these sets feature gorgeous artworks like the secret rare Gyarados EX, Alternate Art Hisuian Lilligant V, and SIR Iron Crown ex. Yet are not beloved by most people due to how “cheep” they are compared to cards like the Alternative Art Umbreon Vmax and the SIR Tera Pikachu ex.
