Oppo Find X3 Pro Review | Best Camera Phone of 2021?

Reviewing the Oppo Find X3 Pro after a week of using it as my full-time phone, testing out that quad lens camera tech, gaming performance, battery life and other bits. This is one of the most expensive smartphones of 2021, starting at £1099 UK, but the Oppo Find X3 Pro is also one of the best I've tested.
My unboxing video takes you on a full tour of the ColorOS software if you want a closer look, while this review expands on my original thoughts.
First up, the camera smarts have to be applauded. Oppo has matched the excellent 50MP primary sensor with a 50MP Ultra-Wide lens using the same tech, both capable of capturing realistic 10-bit photo and video. You also have a 13MP telephoto camera lens and a gimmicky macro shooter that, yeah, it's admittedly cool.
The Find X3 Pro's 6.7-inch AMOLED screen is a QHD stunner with dynamic 120Hz refresh, while the audio smarts are just as strong. As usual you have ColorOS 7.1, adding customisation and bonus features to Android 11. While gaming on Genshin Impact, PubG etc is a smooth experience thanks to the Snapdragon 888 power.

Your review convinced me to get the X3 Pro. Always been a Samsung owner until now. Not at all disappointed. It is hands down the best phone I've owned, beating the Note 10 plus, Note 8 and even the original Galaxy Fold. There's nothing I can fault this phone on. Its lightning fast, the display is incredible, it charges from 0-100% in well under an hour. The cameras are amazing too. I normally find something I don't like when I upgrade to a new device, not this time.

@@scoobysyme it's an excellent phone, I came from an s21 and this is better. Cameras are excellent, battery life could be a bit better but it's charged in around 20 mins so that isn't really an issue. It's lightning fast all round. I got mine on o2 and got a free oppo watch with it on promo.

oppo just released an update to allow the refresh rate to dip all the way down to 1hz when the youre not touching the screen. This feature was not made available at launch. will it improve battery life?

@@bryanbp89 battery doesn't last long for me cus i watch videos for hours continuesly on 5g data always on . 120hz turned on and brightness 50% so for me battery never lasted more than 5 hours but that shouldn't matter as 65w charging takes the phone from 30 to a 100 in like 15 mins so battery anyways now I have the oppo find x3 lite lol it has low end specs so the batteryy lasts even longer than the Pro also 65w charging is amazing again on the lite

Umm, yes and no! If u consider the camera, it isn't significantly different. But if u consider the software, battery life and performance, then it is a massive step-up!

The video quality on this phone seems better than the S22 Ultra. It seems more natural in colors and sharpening. The S22 Ultra's video seems to have too much noise reduction and sharpening going on that the footage seems artificial at times. The only thing missing from this Find X3 Pro is a good Periscope zoom which the S22 Ultra has and wins at this. If the Find X3 Pro is available at a significantly lower price than the S22 Ultra, it is a much better buy.

There are two important factors in this phone. Its stunning display and snapdragon 888 chipset which Samsung S21 Europe version doesn't equipped with this processor and using an inferior processor called xynos 2100.
