why does no one ever mention built in speakers in phones anymore? are they loud enough for the alarm to wake me up in the morning? can i play reasonable quality music at a decent volume? everything is about the camera now and pretty much nothing else.
@mutchlouis97072 жыл бұрын
U can pretty much go with any phone above $500-600 phone from the mainstream brands and not worry about the speakers because of the competition. Otherwise reviewers will point it out. If you still want to be sure, checkout reviews by GSMArena. They do a dedicated speaker test in their reviews.
@eddiemunoz36772 жыл бұрын
I totally agree with you. I use my phone for mainly media consumption so great speakers are priority for me over the cameras. Once reviewers start talking about the cameras I get really bored and skip that crap. Lol

Thanks for this review, it seems to be a pretty perfect phone! While the S22 Ultra has a better camera, this phone is a looker! Premium finish for the premium price. The software is also way nicer than Samsung's! Just 2 Qs, is there banding in the sunset photo? And why do you call the macro lens gimicky?

Suggestions for a phone to upgrade to switching from Oppo R17 Pro would be so helpful PLEASE!!! It was a flagship phone when I got it in kid 2018, although it was released in 2017, and was $800. Has been the best phone I've ever had, after having Samsung's always for smartphones. I have run out of storage though, and the Android system is outdated. Can anyone suggest a good, especially fast charging, long lasting battery phone that can compare to the Oppo R17 pro? That doesn't have a heap of issues like glitching, lagging and overheating?? I can't seem to find a phone that compares to the R17 pro anywhere - whether it be mid range or flagship it's extremely frustrating. I need something to just get me by until they actually release a flagship that will compare to the Oppo R17 pro and be as good as this 5 year old, $800 phone 😒

The whole reason I switched to an Oppo in 2018 from Samsung was because of how affordable it was - I went from Galaxy S6 to Oppo R17 Pro and it has been the BEST phone I have EVER had. Unfortunately, after almost 5 years, my storage has run out, and even though I have Google backup, I am lazy & like to store a lot of pics & videos on my phone. For some reason, almost all phones have no explandable storage these days as well. But regardless, even the top tier flagship phones do not match up to this 2017 Oppo R17 I've had for almost 5 years now still. I got the S21 Ultra in 2021 to try and upgrade, but ended up sending it back because it was a literal downgrade compared to my $800 Oppo from 2017. I don't believe there's a phone out there that can beat the R17 pro, with the battery life and charging - especially at the price point - which is a massive shame because now it is becoming obsolete with the Android system it runs on not being upgraded past a 10, and with the storage running out, the phone battery is starting to be affected as well as performance. But I simply cannot bring myself to pay almost $2,000 for one of these new phones when I know they just won't compare to my old Oppo. I'm so disappointed this new Oppo is the same price as the latest and best Apple iPhone. I would really love to get the Google Pixel 6 pro, as it's not TOO expensive, but I know it just simply will not measure up in battery life & charging speed & this really bothers me because I've become accustomed and reliant on it for almost 5 years - only having to charge my phone 20 mins every 2 days or so with HEAVY use. I'm really annoyed because I thought by the time I would have to upgrade my Oppo, the top phones at least would have caught up with battery life and charging speed. But not the case. I've considered & researched mid tier phones with rumoured good charging speed & battery life but they all seem to come with some issue or another - overheating, being slow, glitching etc. None of which I ever had to deal with with my Oppo R17 pro. I would just buy another one, except for the software updates being outdated now. It's very frustrating! I'm thinking to just wait until they actually have "premium" phones be at a premium level, but unfortunately I don't think my old Oppo will last that long. I'm so stressed I just don't know what to do. I don't want to waste money on a mid-range phone that is gonna disappoint, especially when I'm planning to upgrade to a flagship when they finally release actual good flagships. And hopefully ones that are not $2,000!!!!

They aren't really aggressive like back in the day, but it still gets reflections to annoy you. In terms of "ghost" touches, I didn't have any problem with it, but for navigation I must assume (I always had flat screens, this one is a first for me), it is more pleasant to go back in apps since the edges aren't covered by the case which is another problem if this phone drops on the floor on said edges. I carry it like my life depends on it so it doesn't suffer any drops 😅
@marino56522 жыл бұрын
@@PetreMihai94 I to got a new phone. It is a curved edge. This one is doing a nice job, watching movies is more pleasant than on a flat-screen. The issue I have is with photos. I like to see photos fully and with curved edges, the ends of photos are..well it's curved. Not a fan of that. I took flip case, feel more safe with that option.

The material you dynamic theming is exclusive to pixel phones as of now that's why the Google apps aren't themed. Blame Google for that. It's coming to Oppo and other devices in Android 12.1 update. Samsung doesn't even have that yet. Only the Play store at the moment
