Great video! It took 5 months for me to get recognition for my Brazilian University certificates last year. It includes the time it took to send documents through mail from Brazil to Germany and the extra documents they asked in the process, which luckily they accepted through email. My tip is, if you want to come to Germany, start this recognition process as soon as possible, because 1 month after I received my recognition I applied for a job in Germany and actually got it, and to have the certificates ready was a huge time saver and made visa process easier.

@@simplegermany hi could you please share the details of how I can get my 4 years of bachelor's of engineering recognised before June? Any website where I can apply. And just checking the annabin website and taking a screenshot of the the recognition would be considered or not? Because I checked online and my university degree in bachelor's of engineering is recognised in Germany as per the annabin website. Secondly I would like to know the difference between professional qualification vs the degree which you mentioned in the table of Chancenkarte vs job seeker visa, does it mean 4 yrs bachelors vs 3 years bachelors in India is equivalent to professional degree vs just a degree?? Please explain.. I am confused. Thanks in advance for all your support ❤ you both are awesome 😊

@@aliscode2386 I applied for a researcher position in an University. I did not apply with German language certificate simply because it was not required for the position and also because Brazil and Germany apparently have an agreement that citizens do not need to learn the language to get a work visa. I highly recommend to learn at least B1 German to live in the country, as not everyone is willing to speak English, especially in government departments depending where you live.

The problem is not that you can get a permit or license to work in Germany; the problem is finding an apartment, especially if you’re moving there with children. If you’re single or a couple with only a dog, then you’re going to have an easier time finding a place inside city limits and very enjoyable time moving to Germany. Otherwise, it will be extremely hard.

INFORMATIVE AND WELL EXPLAINED 🥰 I just have some questions which hopefully could be covered in the next video (if there is) once Germany gives out more information regarding this visa. 1. What would be the average processing time for this visa? 2. How to show proof of work experience, like what kind of documents are valid. 3. What kind of health insurance (public or private etc.) Thank you!
@simplegermany
@simplegermany Ай бұрын
1. Depends on your German mission 2. Letters of recommendation or similar 3. Private/Expat for the visa and while you are looking for a job - change to public or private once you have a full time job.

For the Chancenkarte, yes. For teaching there are various ways. It is a regulated profession and would need full recognition down the line but you could also work at private or international schools or as a ‚Quereinsteiger‘. The official recognition website has quite some info on that.

Hello, vielen Dank for this great video! I am very grateful fot this great infos but I am kinda confused about something here. So, in the beginning of the video you guys said if we have a "fully recognized degree" then we can simply move on to collecting points, but at the part of the differences with the Job Seeker Visa part you stated that we also need to have a 2 years experience along with the degree. I do have a fully recognized degree and A1 German as well as B2 English level. Do I still need a 2 years experience to collect points or am I already ok to apply?

Hi there:) if i meet the basic requirements plus if my degree is fully recognized then i wil get the 6 points right? So in this case, i do not need to even appear for ielts or german test is that right? And i dont need to use the point calculator? But i feel the catch is those who use the points calculator will obviously get more score than 6… so wont they consider those people with the highest score? So isnt it always best to do the points calculator and apply

I'm technically a freelancer but have been working for the same company for almost 2 years now. Is a letter from the company I'm working for sufficient or do I need insurance papers etc which I don't have?

Thanks so much for the video! I haven't been able to find some details on the Chancenkarte so I was wondering whether you've come across it: 1. Regarding the proof of funds, would a Verpflichtungserklärung also be an option? As far as I understand, this is currently an option for the Job Seeker's visa. 2. Since you can only apply for this from June onwards, do you know if it would be possible to apply for a Job Seeker visa first and then apply/change it to a Chancenkarte? The timeline seems a bit risky and it's not clear yet how long the process might take since it's a new thing, so someone who is already in Germany for 90 days might run out of time. 3. For a bachelor's degree (in the IT field) that is showing as H+ on the Anabin database and the language is in English, the only thing needed is a screenshot of that and no other lengthy recognition process?

Hi. Does this mean that with the Chancekarte you are supposed to look for a full time job, which means you HAVE TO do an Ausbildung? So the Chancekarte is an oportunity to do an Ausbildung in Germany? Also, is there a minnimal wage you are supposed to reach per month to qualify to stay in Germany after that year looking for a job? Annnnd the last question, do you know if "Honorsrkräfte" jobs (i am an English teacher) would allow me to stay after a year? Vielen Dank im Voraus y muchos saludos desde Asuncion, Paraguay

No, full-time job does not mean Ausbildung. It means fulltime skilled job. You need to earn enough to sustain a living, there is no hard number.

Thank you for such an informative video! One question: does having a "statement of comparability" counts as being 'fully recognized' or 'partially recognized' ? i.e does it allow me to skip the point system?
@simplegermany

As long as you are not in a regulated profession it should count as fully recognized if it’s a positive certificate.

Hi there, much love ❤️ to the both of you 🙂. I have a question 🙏. I read you can extend it with a vocational certificate, so does a cooking training or vocational training count or is it only oriented towards some vocations and or let’s say you come in through a part time job with a unskilled job, and you get a longer and well paid contract in the unskilled job, does it qualify you to extend.
@simplegermany
@simplegermany Ай бұрын
To our knowledge the vocations are not limited. Extension of the Chancenkarte should not be the goal. It is possible, but only if you gain a fulltime job which doesn't grant you a regular work permit (which is weird already). So the focus should be to get a full-time job to stay in Germany.

Your video is still the best I have seen on Chancenkarte. Though, still am not clear after reading all comments and videos that 1) If my uni and degree is in Anabin database, then I am fully recognised. Right? 2) If my degree or uni is not in Anabin, and I get it recognized from Zab and gets the right equivalency i.e positive report, then I am also fully recognised. Right?
@simplegermany
@simplegermany 11 күн бұрын
We will do an extra video on the whole riddle of Anabin and recognition in the future. To answer your question briefly: 1) both your exact degree AND university need to be listed in Anabin. 2) as far as we understand yes, as along as your profession is not regulated in Germany.

Great video, and thank you! What do you mean by "Vocational training"? Am I qualified? I have a 4-year Computer Science degree, which includes a one-year internship. Currently, I have 3 years of experience as a developer, so am I entitled to it? I don't have an A1 German exam certificate, by the way. Do I need to take a B2 English exam, even though my degree is afflicted from UK University? And also my partner is from Germany, and we will get married by the end of this year. Could my partner or my father-in-law sponsor my visa? Which would be the easiest way to get the visa, considering my partner doesn't work yet?

Hi there, Please I am hearing you need an appointment date for Chancekarte and currently in Nigeria, it’s difficult getting an appointment date. To even begin with, putting an appointment is totally unnecessary .The Opportunity Card pathway is similar to Canada Express entry and once you have your Invitation to Apply, you should be able to travel with or without an appointment date. I would like to ask whats the way forward is concerning this?

Is there a points deduction for age? I am an American in my mid-forties, and I often find that many countries simply want younger people in this situation. It can be frustrating as middle -aged people have lots of skills and experience to bring. Great channel and information! 👏Cheers from the U.S.!

Hey! In the explanation part you said, 4 points for partial recognition of a degree and in the table comparison you wrote degree AND minimum 2+ year of experience for chancenkarte. Which is it? A person who has a valid university degree, but NO work experience at all, is he/she still eligible?

The difference lies in whether you have partial or full recognition of your degree. If you don’t, then you can substitute it with work experience.

Graduates in Germany have even more visa opportunity. You can get a visa extension of 2 years to look for a job after graduating. Its best if you speak to your local Ausländerbehörde once you are closer to graduating.

just curious about jen’s use of her life as example for why she can’t apply! couldn’t you qualify just because you have a university degree alone? even without matching work experience? (just as long as it’s at least partially recognized in germany and if you meet age and language and financial requirements as well) i thought the vocational training is just another option for the “professional qualification” if you don’t have a university degree!
@simplegermany
@simplegermany 2 ай бұрын
In your example it's correct. In our example we wanted to make the point in the case that Jen's degree is not recognized. Since she doesn't have work experience in the field of her degree, she wouldn't qualify.

Can you clarify where it mentions that the university degree we have, has to match the work we are seeking as a base requirement? I spoke with an immigration attorney about the blue card and chancenkarte and he said that as long as I have the recognized 4 year degree and work in a field that requires a 4 year degree, they don’t have to match. This contradicts what you are saying so I want to make sure I’m understanding correctly!
