Neil,,, i bet you never read this Clip,,,, but, please know that you brought great joy and emotion to so many who love their mums, when we could not find the words, you sang them so beautifully for us., ...at 11 back in 76, my mother nursed me through my heart Operation, and we used to listen to you many times ,,, in 2018, when i nursed her for just the 5 weeks they gave her, in so much suffering fighting Cancer, only to take her from us, and so gain i played her your song.. and we cried together... i held her hand as she passed away that day... Thank you Neil for helping bring out the Love from within my heart.....

As a child Neil I watched you on Op Knocks and loved Bills song and your beautiful rendition. I later covered this song and fortunately corresponded with Bill via Martin Kershaw the producer. Your version is the Very Best but I enjoyed every moment recording the beautiful song you and Bill created. 🙏.

Anybody could write something so universally appalling but it took a special type of person to waste 50p on it. Thankfully it has vanished without trace, as has the scarily dreadful poofter who farted out the vocals. My goodness, whilst I know you are only ribbing me there were actually women so incredibly idiotic that they actually bought it! Where were they when I was selling vacuum cleaners door to door?

You never really know who you are going to touch with your music, or how. This mournful song still emanates from a sad cave of discovery of my childhood, around 8, at a time when I really realised my mum and dad were gonna die. And now, at 62 (me), they both have; mum just 3 months ago. My closest friend, back then in 1971, would jokingly shake a fist at the part "I'll give everything that you gave to me". She committed suicide 8 years later. I cannot hear that song without thinking of that and, ofc, my own mum. So this somewhat cheesy, somewhat sad, somewhat beautiful song is almost an unbearable but compulsive religious experience, hahaha.

What an idiotic question! What happens in a person's life to buy a record like that, is that they have a mother who they genuinely appreciate, and who they think (or thought) the world of. Do you have any more questions in order to safely brand you as a moron, or was it just the one?
