one month I needed money for my car license, I prayed, about 2 days later my sister came to visit, when she left she had hidden money under a book on the table, I could not stop thanking God, HE let me know although He helped me He was actually doing it to help my sister, she had been feeling down and depressed, He knew that by her helping me is what she needed to lift her spirits and get her out of a rut. Praise God

I love hearing this motivational speech from you. Myself I am in the fight of my life for my life. I have been a drug addict for over 25yrs. Currently I have 4 months and 6 days clean. I've been through 50 days of residential rehab and I have been living in a sober living house up until today. I have been treated so unfairly. In spit of this I got a job, I am so grateful for the people God has put in my life who truly want to help me. Operation New Hope, and Gateway. It's a up hill battle. I listen daily to you and Steve Harvey's motivational speeches on KZbin. I love in Jacksonville FL. The statistics of long term sobriety are stacked against me. I wish I could hug Oprah Winfrey, and that I could write this directly to her. She spoke to my heart today. She tugs on my heart to hug the child who suffered in her. She brings the giving heart of God to the world. I want to be a better person to live intentionally and the truest expression of myself. I am thankful for her. I have actually grown up grown up with a biological mother father who were a narcissist and then the first man who looked at me I chased and was with him for 35 years another narcissist oh my God have I not pay my mother f****** dues I had the only thing I knew was that my only value was to bring home the paycheck my only value was he was a Percocet narcotic Seeker and when I had my gastric bypass when I was $330 lb what do you do to me he looked at me while I laid in bed and pissed and s*** my own bed because he wouldn't help me at 33 and 30 lb he said you won't be needing these and he grabbed my 30 pills of Narcotics wow that was an eye opener he was a Percocet narcotic Seeker he was verbally abusive he would not work to take care of his children and he was verbally abusive and I believed every word he said that's all I knew I came from a verbally abusive father and it took me until I was 61 years old to realize that my father and my ex-husband were were a narcissist and they made me be their codependent and it's like Jesus Christ I'm 61 f****** years old and this is the s*** I'm going through it's been horrific it's been horrific I'm just now learning that I deserve to be loved I just I deserve to be valued I'm texting served everything I didn't realize all this until very very frequently it's very sad

Hi Opra Jamie here Newly clean and sober and so grateful for this chance to do it again and turn that scream into a force to be of service. I'm starting a non-profit to raise funds for recovery scholarships for people that can afford treatment. That's all I know. I want to stay in foundation recovery because I understand I have a disease of forgetfulness. While in treatment I was afraid to leave, to go back into the world and feel or fail. There is a story and trauma attached but I want to focuse on the solution. I went to Hazelden Betty Ford treatment center in Rancho Mirage CA because I had insurance. So many people don't have that opportunity and I see how fortunate I am to be given this gift of life. Substance abuse is so far reaching and as I understand it as a symptom of a deeper problem. So for me once the symptom is removed is when things get really interesting. Life begins to change dramatically, new thoughts and ideas take root and you just never know what's about to grow.

you're exactly right Oprah. people can do so much when they look Beyond themselves it's the smallest of things a person. I call it filling in the gaps. and that can be by volunteering, helping someone in need., mowing someone's lawn or cleaning up their yard without asking for cash because they need help, or tipping a drive-thru for saying hi or smiling or just because you got a good report on your dental visit you wanted someone else to smile too just simple things that can make a person's day to fill in the gaps to bring joy we all can do it in so many ways and you just have to take the time, the conversation, and just do it you will feel better for it even when you're going through the hardest of times it will get you through your journey and you always feel better in the end.. thank you Oprah for being such a soul provider to the world in so many ways and that we all can contribute some way everyday to our communities to our neighbors and to our friends and family and to our elders giving back and filling in the gaps are so rewarding.

I practused gratitude where-ever needed from the age 12yrs being a poor child and taken as carer or baby sitter but the respectful husband of my godmother influenced by her aunty told her she hardly go to school! Your godchild take her on to be your babysitter and wo. Little did they know. I only had two dresses & 2 undies! One a first Holy Communion Dress all white all stained and one school uniform. Therefore schooling was neglected kn wadhing days where I dressed in my communion dress and stsy at home My uncke my godmother's husband refused togave me at home as child slave With compassion change the situation. And my proper accedemic education started at grade 6 in the catholic mission. With them stability Occured, ever since then! I prayed daily with gratitude for this unconditional changes! And continue to do so to this vety day! Thus uncle apoears in my dreams more than my dad & my godmother. But she us my fairy godmother cause we live on a plantation no car but a shopping truck to do our shopping every forth night and I get a daily treat of every day. Passed scholarship and school in Ladies St Mary's College Katoomba NSW. Blue Mountains How one has to be continuous living a life of gratitudes Your stance & projections of life, is so massively consumed and appreciated by the millions in the world and i all walks of life. With gratitude, praises and thanks. Will make a stand with you & in all minimal ways like you Oprah. Already as a publican return Appreciation & helping many as a godmother , a teachers for many students, a carer for many, a handmaid for many a Compassionate nursery assistant for many inclhding my children relatives & commnities..with Fulfillment of passionate uncodutional love with forgivenesses to many. Even long risking delivery run for an African young lady delivered just in time for birthing in her bed. How sweet it was fir mother & baby then fir weeks voluntering in the safe home nuturing and assisting all their safety needs. In my heart I needed to get my word out there but terrified of being judged. It took some courage to get it out there because I know in my heart that if I reached out to just one soul out there in my small circle of people around me and social media through Facebook, I feel I've succeeded in my purpose for getting my word out there. I am 38 and I've only just this last year since last October 2021 I've understood and realise how powerful forgiveness really is. Forgiving quickly and getting my understanding of it and get my experience out there to help people, or just one person, one soul. I'm listening to your videos everyday, Oprah, so I can get your word drummed into my mind, so much so, that i don't forget to be conscious of my thoughts and intentions with every action and when I'm aware of my thoughts I say thank you God thanks you Jesus thank you Our lady immaculate queen and thank you angels. I'm a great great great believer in angels and im always asking them to guide and help me. My life has truly changed for the better since I have let go of the pain of holding the grudge against people. It is like I'm living for the first time in my whole life, breathing in air with such appreciation and gratitude. This day is a blessing and listening to your video here on KZbin gives me that extra boost that is needed to deal with souls lost all around us. Its incredible the amount of souls that need to set themselves free. So many people make me work soooooo hard to get their hearts to open up just a little bit. People are so fearful of other human beings. I work in an acute very busy hospital in Dublin city and my job as a healthcare worker is so satisfying and yet exhausting. So your videos gave me another view of how I look at people and gets me to ask myself the question. What is this here to teach me, why am I collaborating with this person, why am I feeling triggered. You have taught me to accept the lesson, learn from it and improve, grow and succeed in mastering who I really am. Your extreamly powerful, Oprah and we are blessed to here living life with you in our lives. I have shared your video on my Facebook page for people to nourish their souls.
