We are short of Ozempic in Canada also. My husband won’t be able to get it until the end of March. Ozempic is not approved in Canada for weight loss so a lot of people are struggling to find their meds here. As my daughter said, ‘wrong time to come clean that her weight loss is more important than non-wealthy people's diabetes’. Not a class act 😡

Well, it's a medication for diabetes patients anyway. It's just unbelievable that so many people are prioritizing the easy weight loss over any concerns, isn't it? Just for a side effect that helps their vanity and/or laziness. Imagine if people would start using chemotherapy for weight loss and then complain about the hair loss and vomiting. I could understand if people took it who are so obese that they can't even get up and walk. But as it is, it's rather the people who are just somewhat overweight, or sonetimes not even overweight.

fast 16 hours and eat 8 hours in a 24 hour time frame, is very manageable that most people can do it. another word is skip eating breakfast and just eat lunch and dinner. that should give you a 16 hour daily fasting.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with using a GLP-1 agonist, but her using it does reveal that it's nearly impossible to adhere to the calorie restriction demanded by WW programs long-term without the support some kind of medical intervention that reduces appetite and cravings and produces a sense of satiety after eating such small meals.

WW is a low-calorie diet, and like all low-calorie diets, it's really difficult to adhere to by people whose bodies don't experience satiety, who often always feel hungry and have strong cravings for certain foods even when they aren't very hungry. If it was truly a diet that a person could sustain long-term without always feeling hungry or thinking about food (which happens when you're semi-starving), then Oprah wouldn't have needed the GLP-1 agonist to stick to it.
