Excellent review Paul, one minor thing you missed with the "Vehicle Mode" is the legs slide horizontally and connect the two "roads/landing areas" together which also makes the legs not flop everywhere when you roll it. So glad you did the review, so excited to get mine!

Easily, at that. The Jaegers are roughly combiner sized (Devastator, Superion, etc). Metroplex is soooooooo much taller than that. 'Plex could literally step on one.

It took me thing ling to realize that sandstorm is on the box art flying. wasn't metroplex released before Autobot Springer? Kinda weird how they would just throw sandstorm on the box art, almost as if it was a hint that Springer was getting a repaint.

I felt some sort of suspense when you were going over the packaging. When you said "Let's get this guy open and see how awesome he actually is." I let out a big "YES!" But then Scamper showed up on camera and I gave out a big "Aww!" And then I laughed. Later on, I laughed when you were tossed a pair of tweezers to take that crane out. I also loved the size comparison between Metroplex and Burger! That was just lovely! I've gotta say that I love your reviews. They have a little bit of everything!

It's been almost a year since this figure was released and I was really, REALLY looking forward to getting this figure when it came to the UK. It's now June 2014 and the shops in my town are still selling the Beast Hunters Wave 1 figures. And with the Age of Extinction toys coming onto the shelves in time for the movie, I don't think I'll be seeting Metroplex or any of the Generations toys anytime soon.

This Metroplex is absolutely amazing! I do have to agree the legs are the only things that contain minor faults & maybe the blinking eye, but no way near the positives this giant has to offer.

Paul one thing i forgot to mention, the shoulder cannons that he can hold also combine with the red cannon. they plug on the top of the gun but towards the back on each side. Looks AMAZING !

optibotimus, I would like to thank you. Thank you for helping figure out what I can do with the black parts of Generations Metroplexs shoulders, but most of all for mentioning how you used to transform the original metroplex. Upon opening the leg compartments of my G1 Metroplex(who is sadly broken in 2) I found my G1 Beachcomber and G1 Warpath. I though I'd lost them.

Great review Optibotimus. Yes I really love this figure...btw, the visor can go up without moving his side guns on his head. Just push it up manually and then to get the visor down again...you can just flip the black helmet forward again to get the visor down. I showed it in my video review of the guy.

Hey Optibotimus. You don't need to use the antennas to move the visor. You can just use your finger to push it up and if you want to push them back you can just lift the helmet on the head up and they will pop back.

Optibotimus, Just got one yesterday...love it! yeah i tried to fix the weak legs/knees. one, I just tried on one leg tightning up the screws. not too tight. it helped a little. on the other leg I tried that small piece of the rubber band fix used on the tfc hercules. works well on the knees. havent woked on the hips yet....ill keep u informed if I do..

I use metroplex form 1 to carry the autobots like a mobile fortress. Chopper bot on the helipad. Jetbots on the runways. Bumblebee prime and other high ranking autobots manning the turrets and stuff and then I have carbots scattered around the place. Barbie doll houses meets transformers.

I have metroplex, and to help with the visor, you can remove his headpiece very easily and simply pull it off. Sorry if its too vague I can elaborate if u want.

looked a bit wobbly (legs/carrier deck) in vehicle mode, but i agree thats probably the least likely to be used mode. wish the ramp reached the ground like G1 but nitpicking at this point. cant wait to see if i'm pleasantly surprised. thanks for vid!

Watched another review on this toy and the vizor can be pushed up without moving his antenna back and make metroplex look down and his vizor will come back down hope this helps you

I honestly wish i got this sooner. after BBTS sold out i was unable to find him till much later and i just found him for over 300$. the price of him varies but at the time i got him it was already a bit too late

Great review on this guy... I know the shear size of him makes it a bit more difficult to review. I will definitely be reserving mine asap. As for the Takara & SDCC, I agree the chrome thighs and face are a nice touch.. But, for more than twice the money I would expect some additional paint app's. So the standard version is where its at for me!
