Yes Rob. Another great video. Lots of great inspiration to draw from. I totally agree with your comment on my Armani. But I thought I’d show my progression as my taste and knowledge improved (thanks in no small part to TSF). I also agree with your thoughts on Robert La Roche vs JMM. It’s true, when you get your hands on a pair, you’re amazed at how luxurious they feel. You know I’ll get a pair sooner or later. Keep up the good work!

@@liuanson4981 Sounds about right. I loved the look of that frame, and really the whole of the collection. My aesthetic is pretty similar, though I’m still trying to find the right balance of definition and understated. Though I am looking at another pair of Reykjavik Eyes to add to the collection in a colorway that is out but I have seen no one talk about: The Elias in black, possibly with a sweet violet gradient and diamond flash coating.

Thank you for clarifying. Oh and the Elias doesn't come in black. It does come in dark gun with accent colour in copper or blue, or red.

@@thespectaclefactory I’ve seen it for sale in black recently, as a pretty recent release. It’s advertised in a few places, but strangely not their website. The Continental Eyewear website was where I first saw them, and looked into it from there

@@thespectaclefactory It’s probably an upcoming or very recent release, then. May even be unveiled at Silmo for all I know. I have seen it already for sale on a few optical sites that I trust, and Continental Eyewear’s website does have it listed in black as the fourth color with images.

Most of my collection is vintage Cartier and a few more newer Cartier. I also collect vintage Jean Paul Gaultier and I'm slowly building my vintage Cazal collection as well. Unfortunately because I have medicine in my lenses, most of my frames are stock. I have so many pairs to get my prescription in, I need to stop collecting and finally get them done. lol I own close to 35 (or more) pairs of eyewear now. I just bought my third pair of Gast frames (The clear acetate rimless w/rose gold). I plan on getting a light baby blue gradient for those.

Wow some people have amazing glasses. I'm coming to you in November as basically a newbie for decent glasses. RN on a Acetate Mont Blanc frame. Quality is okay , next move is Cartier . Skipping everything else . Ps; At my age can pull off a Cartier , if you are in your 20s or 30s go for Gast .

Such a difficult aspect to get right without the help of an expert. The challenge for me is explaining all of the small variables in a way that is interesting and intelligible

Robert, with my progressive lens I find that a lower vertical size lens (38 mm vs 42mm) suits me better than a deeper lens. Your thoughts?

Too many variables, which makes it difficult to diagnose why this may be. I doubt that the frame depth is the real reason why you find this
