Scope place is important, too, depending on the dimensions of the scope. For example, with the AR sport mount on my WW R16-308 (semi-auto) the ocular is right over where the charging handle rests. And so I had put on a latch extension but that is only one side. So, I broke down and bought an extra wide LR 308 charging handle. I wanted Raptor Radian but those are not to be had anywhere, at all. So, I got a Trybe, which works just fine. it provides a wider purchase on the charging handle, such as at the start of a firing sequence. Now, in the midst of changing mags, I will just press the release paddle. Weigh can become a concern. Weight of a rifle has not really bothered me and I have preferred the heavier rifles because they absorb recoil. Yesterday, I got all scientific and stuff and weighed my rifles with my digital kitchen scale that will weigh up to 40 pounds. The Mossberg Patriot .308 Win with a Vortex Crossfire II scope at 7 lbs 6 ounces is the lightest. And I thought my MVP was the heaviest, it felt like it. It is 10 lbs 6 oz. It turns out that my R16 is over 12 lbs 10 oz, but it somehow felt lighter than the MVP and that could totally be weight distribution. I still plan to deer hunt with the R16SFST-308. It is so comfortable. And when I have hunted with a heavy rifle, I forgot to cry about it.

Hey, I shore like your channel, I'm so glad I found it. I do have a question on a scope for you IF I may? I got a Bushnell 6-24x50mm Engage scope. I Can Not find a Sun Screen Tube for it at all. Do You or can You tell where to check and see IF I can purchase one? PLEASE. I shoot up hill facing pretty much facing due East down here in East Texas in early morning hours at my place. I didn't think it would be A Big Deal finding one or I'd done something different a few weeks ago when I bought this scope.....Thanks in advance. I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL

That's an interesting idea. Some do lend themselves to certain styles of use. That's kinda tricky.
