I really would like to see the 80gr TUI from Fort Scott in this. Should be able to get through anything below level 3 with ease. Maybe even some level 3 stuff. And the 68gr XD should be exemplary in this gun. If I i was going for a gas gun, I would go for this or a 22arc. I have 223 in a bolt gun, and i prefer it there.

A fair review until, "I'm not really interested in Arken anymore, these things were supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread". "Hopefully I'm saving other people's money in the future". Dude, a scope with these features that runs $389.99 MSRP and can be purchased for 25% off during a sale for $292.49 is phenomenal. Wow, you should be crying for joy at the awesome value even if it has some minor chromatic aberrations. Switch to Japanese ELD glass for pennies more and get almost no chromatic aberration. The Tract Toric is awesome and I have one but the Arken SH-4J 6-24X50 or EPL-4 6-24X50 are awesome scopes at their price point.

Someone at Arken really pissed this guy off. Comparing a $400.00 scope to $1,000.00 scope? Definitely not a math scholar.

I'm only reacting to the many effusive reviews of this scope that claim it's as good as $2k scopes. In my opinion, the image is so bad it's not worth even its low price tag.

Depends on purpose. Most folks will only take their rifles out to medium range at max. A Bushnell Engage or 4500 will work wonders. A comparable Athlon, too. Zero Tech. They don't have all that adjustment range, but they have glass that works.

Not sure what happened over at Keen Shoes. Been wearing Austins for decades because they fit my foot correctly. my first pair of Keen last years, the sole finalyl wore down, which if fine. the second pair lasted a couple years then the sole seperated from the fabric. its glued on. my last two pairs the sole fell off after only a year or so and they were not worn that much. never again. these are not cheap shoes. i think 140 per pair. but they are cheaply made. im guessing keen was once made in usa and then sent production overseas.

90% of all ARs have 16 inch barrels. There are a lot of 14.5 pinned, but the 16 inch is the overwhelming majority and in my opinion, the best length for “do it all” length. 20 inch barrels are great for long range shooting. Therefore most of the testing should be done with the above barrel lengths.

I am able to read mirage pretty well with my 6x25, SH4J Gen2. I dial my parallax to about 50% of target range and then can see mirage well enough especially if over 5-7mph. Now, I am using out to 300yds with 22LR. Not out to big ranges such as HP rifles. You haven’t even mounted and tried it and are bashing it. Hey I’ll buy the bundle….

I left a comment 5 months ago saying I thought it was outstanding at the price I paid ($224) and the most expensive scope I had at the time was a 500 dollar vortex ...well since then I now own several $1000+ scopes from sheppard and zeiss and vortex etc and I feel I am experienced enough now to even further stand by my statement that this is a awesome scope for the money ... and imo you don't even believe that BS about it being useless ..you just wanted to get clicks and why you made sure to say (the one flaw) like 18 times before 50%+ into the video ...this is hogwash

To me, PSA seems like it's a company started and run by shooters who want to provide the absolute best product for price that they can and still may the revenue they need. Given what I've seen so far, I believe they have achieved just that. I have a lower on the way to my ffl and an upper like that (18" stainless with the same handguard) on the way to me. They already got the buis and mags that I ordered to me... great company. Don't listen to your local dealer if they disparage them - they just don't like that they sell directly to the consumer and so the most the dealer will get is the transfer fee...

most my hiking is in Rocksavania. I need a high for ankle support and a hard sole to keep the rocks from destroying the bottom of my feet. I’ve owned Danners, which would not support my ankles, Merrill’s, which fell like it has no sole. I swear I could feel twigs through them. Nothing beats the Solomon’s I had and will be buying again.

I shoot a tikka 243 with Swarovski z6i, theres good n bad with the calibre but I suppose that’s the same with every bullet, with the transition to copper ammo and therefore a lighter bullet the maximum weight has been reduced and therefore supposedly less stoping power which doesn’t help with big sika in Scotland so that’s a negative, I’ve heard of the theory that the 243 causes more meat damage due to the high speed it travels through the animal but on the plus side the price of ammo is low, hardly any recoil and it’s so flat shooting, I’ve been considering buying a 308 for the sika but I’m unsure weather it’s better or not

Assuming deer as your quarry, I would favor a low-power scope with a relatively high zoom ratio like the Athlon Helos 2-12x42mm Gen 2. If you can find a Bushnell Forge 3-18x50mm, those are really cool. I've successfully used LPVOs for that shot range, too, but it gets difficult at dusk. If you prefer second focal plane, check out the Bushnell Engage 2.5-10.

i have a rash of bushnell stuff. 3 banner scopes, a trophy xlt scope as well as a pair of trophy xlt binocs, 2 legend scopes and a pair of legend binocs. out of all that, i'd give all but 1 of those a 5 out of 5 for my uses. and the 1 older banner scope a 4, it's not bad but just not as clear as the legend stuff or the new banner 2 that came on a savage axis pkg i picked up last yr. it blows me away, it's a very good scope and i've seen them for down around $70. i've never owned any leupold (all bushnell...) but have looked through other people's, plus some at stores. i think bushnell's legend line is on par with the leupolds that i've looked through. super sharp, great in low light, and not that i ever have to adjust the scopes because they stay put, but when i did sight them in they adjusted accurately. i don't know why anybody would need to go 'up' from there, except to try to impress. maybe i've just been lucky but i've managed to build up a bigger 'sample size' than i really ever meant to.
