Hi Joe I've just started watching your vids and I'm loving it. Please keep it up. Loved the hack but also the instruction vids because I also tinker somewhat. Just a thought I've been 3d printing some sci-fi type toys but want to add some cool sounds, any ideas? Cheers from downunder. Mark.

I wondered whether this sort of thing could be used as a safety system in a situation whereby 'industrial environmental factors' may cause interruption to traditional radio wave or electrical wire based safety systems. If a single light source could be split and transported via fibre to end points at which it could be ran through some form of lens which would allow a reciever to understand the level of safety to workers in a particular area...given the onset of said 'industrial environmental factors' becoming a safety concern (i.e. a risk to life) My thought is that it would operate a little like LiFi, only, from a single light source that can be hardened and battery backed up to ensure the maximum uptime. The single light source would also be to guarantee the same safety status could be distributed to as many end points as required and be guaranteed to be recieved as the same status everywhere, no matter what. The method of distribution for the light would need to be something such as fibre such that it could not be influenced by said 'industrial environmental factors' by any means other than if those factors caused a physical break in the fibre.
