I have always believed that .30 caliber is a better option for intermediate cartridge rifles. The 300 HAM'R seems to be the logical evolution of the AR platform.

With the right bullet you can do the same and more with a 6.5 Grendel. Close to the same bullet weight, more velocity, more energy retention and it has been around 20 years and you can get brass and components from many sources!

A bit off topic for Controlled Chaos, but relevant to Lehigh Defense. As on life long 45 Auto fan, I’ve watched the 45 Auto Xtreme Defense projectile morf from 120gr to the 135gr. Seems the current offering from Lehigh, Black Hills, Underwood all now offer the 135gr loading at approx 1,250fps (5” barrel). While there seems to be some industry testing of the earlier 120gr projectile with gel and various barriers, it’s near impossible to find similar testing with the 135gr loading. Can you’ all please address this?

So tired of the media calling a semiautomatic AR-15 an "assault rifle." Assault rifles were essentially "banned" in 1986. It essentially made fully automatic rifles only available to the wealthy. The media and politicians call it that because it's a scary name and the general public knows little to nothing about rifles.

Oh and an AR that short in civilian hands not doing CQB and not getting in and out of black SUV's all day looks kind of silly and torques when you shoot it way more than it needs to! The gel tests do look impressive even I can not deny that! Would rather see it shot at a pig shoulder or deer shoulder or something like that. I do not hunt ballistic gel and I do not eat ballistic gel!

Why are you so mad? Did you even watch the video? He literally shoots a hog in it. I for one love the 11.3 300 Ham'r because with a suppressor it makes a great short and handy package in a tree stand, or when walking through thick brush. It's also great for young shooters to have a much shooter lighter gun and with an AR you have an adjustable stock so for smaller statured shooters it's great. It's SAAMI approved and they have 3 pages of loads for it in loaded ammo. It does essentially what a 30-30 win does out of a shorter barrel do you think the 30-30 win is a bad cartridge. It also on the tactical side duplicates or beats the 7.62x39 in an AR with just a barrel and mag change and with the twist rate and bullet selection honed down it is very accurate. The only thing I would like to see is bulk FMJ practice rounds at a cheaper price to be able to shoot more. Maybe instead of trying to shit all over someone else's work, you could invent what you think is SO much better and bring it to market and let us all know.

They're $1.64 per round. Even with current market prices thats twice as expensive as .300BO or $.40 more than premium SMK 77gr 5.56x45. Hog Hunting is a passing fad for aging boomers with fat wallets, evidently

Problem is that it is just another proprietary cartridge and most of us are burnt out on the insane number of proprietary cartridges the last 10-20 years. Thumbs down just for bringing me yet another "nothing burger" you already have enough ways to line your pockets you do not need to start peddling hype on the internet for yet another AR15 sized cartridge that promises the world but does not do anything that has not been done in an AR package in the last 20 years already! Instead of doing this sort of nonsense how about you do something you can do but others can not maybe make a pistol for the 30 Carbone cartridge or the 300 HAM'R. That might actual cost you time and money though and might have some risk associated with it!

Nobody making under $120k should be looking at a boutique hog hunting caliber. The prospective buyers of this caliber fly or drive their lifted 17mpg SUVs hundreds of miles to where the hogs are at and pay to shoot at them with their fancy toys for fun. It's a rich man's caliber just like WCs overpriced 1911s and everything else they make

One of these big gun manufactures need to step up and reproduce the 30 AR again. The 30 AR base is smaller than the 450 bushmasters so why not build the rifles again or make a new 30 AR kind or cartridge on the 450 Bushmaster fat case. I build and sell AR 15 and AR 10 uppers with a new addition coming in the AR 15 will be 7.92x33 Kurz which is the 8 mm Mauser shortened
