Optimized Idle On 2021 Freightliner Cascadia

I feel like this could've been explained better. The key needs to be in the on position. The truck can be running or off. Optimized idle and interior comfort are not the same thing. Interior comfort can be off and optimized idle can still be on. Interior comfort makes it so the truck turns on and off to maintain interior temperature set with berth controls, whereas if interior comfort is off, the truck will only turn on to keep the batteries from dying. If you have an Espar heater installed in the truck, this is when having interior comfort off would be beneficial.

I might add that in the cold months, with interior comfort off, the truck will turn itself on to prevent the block from getting too cold.

All right my start to where the RPMs go up and it highly go up and go past 10.. and I can't cut the optimal idle off where to go back to the countdown how do you fix that

I am driving Cascadia in 2022. I would like to ask you, does Cascadia have an engine block heater plug function? Under my driver's door, there is a power socket. I don't know what it does? I want to know that it is winter now, and in the cold weather below freezing, what can we do before starting the engine?

To allow you to run the AC/heater for more than the 3 to 5 minutes without having to manually click the button to keep the engine running. (Engine on new trucks automatically shuts down if idled for more than a few minutes)

Carlos,freight liner will fix it for you. I went in 2019 for brand new tractor But it just changed from half an hour to only one & half hour. They tried couple times. I changed my tractor from cascadia to Volvo. But I know my friends same year’s trucks they stayed idling whole night.

It’s a total bullshit system. It’s hot as hell in these trucks. Humid stuffy if the AC is off. It’s fucking rediculous how this set up is
