Hey guys. I'm enjoying your videos. I have a few suggestions for you. I worked for both a custom coach manufacturer and more recent a major RV manufacturer in Indiana. I just came across your channel recently or I would have commented sooner. A couple notes from this video. If you notice at rv parks and such. The utility pedestal, water and sewer hookups are typically on the driver side rear. That's kind of standard across the u.s. one thing I noticed was your 30amp hookup was on the passenger side, which is fine, but you will find you will be running your cord under the bus to the opposite side to plug in. Also, I would suggest rotating your hookup box so that the flap closes down. Right now the way you have it, it could blow open as the wind catches it driving down the road and rip the door off. Or rotate it 180 so that the wind would force the door closed should the latch ever fail. Just something I seen from this video. Your further than I am. I want to do a skoolie as well but still have to convince the wife. Lol. Nice work guys, enjoy the vids.

Dinette people are good people. Impressed with the construction skills. Great accent wall.

I could be wrong but I believe the orientation of the shore power outlet should be vertical positioning the hinge at the top to shield the plug from rain.

You guys are so awesome!!! It's great to have a partner that smiles in the face of adversity or challenge,, or help your husband get a part out of a drill. Your smile Natalie makes any day better and brighter. You and Jimmie make a great team. Awesome job on both aspects of the bench. It will be a labor of love and we'll worth it!! Keep up the great job.

Thank you so much for the kind words!! 😄 This build is fun as it is, but it is even more enjoyable having a partner to share it all with 😊 And we couldn't be happier with how the benches are turning out. Can't wait to see it all in the bus 😄

Countersink the screw on a white piece and wood putty then touch up the white paint. Or can you screw it in from the other side? Not sure where you're putting the accent wall.

where are you guys located? Looks like southeastern US and I saw Natalie wearing a Clemson T-shirt. Upstate SC by ant chance?

Is it my imagination or is the bus lower to the ground on the front than the back?

It very well could be! We are parked on a pretty large hill so that could be the cause 🤔

I am curious .... why did you install the Short Power outlet oriented with the hinge on the left (3:10) instead of to the top?
@JimmyandNatalie3 жыл бұрын
We did that since our handicap door is on the left of the plug, so when we open that door with the plug open it’ll just shut it instead of potentially breaking off. That was our train of thought at least!

Jimmy, I’m sure you know what you’re doing, but look at your shirt sleeve at time 11:34. If a loose sleeve or apron sting gets caught in a power saw blade it can be devastating. Just trying to keep you and Natalie safe.
