@@remoteramblers that IS the question! We are going to start saving (still need to be in conversation over this one with my hubby) and I have someone coming to quote me a price on turning our front fence into a LARGE gate so we can pull a bus into our backyard while we do the conversion. I’m hoping this is the year to buy one! But we still need to sit down and put solid steps into place. We have 4 kiddos and a giant puppy so they don’t leave lots of room for conversations. Haha

Kooool.layout. You scored on the Gallant fridge!! Only layout I'd change, for me, would be the desk/lounge area. That would be my CLOSET. 😆 As to all the plumbing on one side, could there be a weight issue? If you offset it on the other side, no problem. Love you have 150 gal. of fresh. I'm not a fan of the rainshower but DO love a handheld w/a shut off. I already do the "military" style showers. 😆 Can hardly wait to see your finished mobile castle!!

Thank you so much for watching and for crafting such a thoughtful response, we truly appreciate it! I feel you on the closet, but we are working hard to minimize and create capsule wardrobes, I hope we don't regret that later hahaha. Since we have 2 tanks, they will be placed on either side of our bus to even out the weight, but we will only have plumbing pipes run on one side. All of our electrical system will be on the opposite side, so I think we will be pretty well balanced. I am also with you on wanting to see it all done, getting antsier by the day!

I don’t even know where to start with y’all’s great and perfect for you plans for your Home on Wheels. You had me at the couch that looks so comfortable and not just a box with some padding in the seat. I can’t wait to see the armoire closet space. I love the full size fridge. I got a microwave/ induction and air fryer as a gift that does so many things and it really works faster and doesn’t heat up my small kitchen like the oven and doesn’t use as much power. I still use my oven for bigger things, especially in the winter months, but having the option is great. I would like to know what kind of washer you have and where you got it, if you don’t mind please. I’m can’t wait to see your vision become your reality. I’m excited for y’all. I’ve seen several videos where they put the bubble or raised roof area just in the shower because of their height and sealed with no problems. Good luck to you both and please keep sharing.

Lesa, you have totally made our day! Thank you so much for your encouragement and thoughtful comments! Before I forget, here is the link to the washing machine amzn.to/3HLZgsb also the couch truly is amazing. We used it as our main bed for nearly 2 months until our other one came in and it is so comfy. We also love that the cover comes off so easily and can be machine washed, a total lifesaver with a dog who will be bringing stuff in with him! And I think we have decided to add the bubble in the bathroom, hopefully, it will go smoothly! The armoire will hopefully be next week's project and I literally cannot wait to start on it.

Hi, just subscribed. I love the realistic view on how things are arranged , planning is key. you mentioned how tall the mattress was, But what size is it, A King? (I know you're not keeping it) And are you planning on keeping your metal ceiling thru-out?
@remoteramblers2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for much for being here, subscribing and for taking the time to have a chat! This whole process of putting everything in has helped us immensely with planning out our layout and probably more importantly, our systems. And our bed will be a queen bed, because its what we already have, but we could have easily bumped in the shower wall in order to have a King. And our metal ceiling will be staying, but we will be covering it with panels, like this amzn.to/3FsV7aC Our insulation is in great shape and the ceiling that we have in the noise dampening ceiling, so we chose to leave it in.

Hi Keith! We will definitely do a whole video of our cost breakdown when we finish the build, but we do have a video already up about how we are keeping our costs low throughout the build. Dryfitting large appliances and furniture is so important not only to visualize your layout but because you have to make sure the stuff you have actually fits through your door! Once everything is in, it's hard to change it so it's an important and often overlooked step.
