Just back from the range and for all on this post the drill really works very effectively - 3 horizontal rotations, then 2 on the incline and thereafter straight into hitting the ball ... Huge thanks to Carolin, her presentation is really spot on! Whereas I was only getting 150 yards with 7 iron and 4 iron under quite conditions today I reached 160 with the 7 iron and 190 with the 4 iron --- and into a fairly stiff wind! Carolin, please keep this degree of detail going, you are so good at putting over the bite sized chunks we need - I am now developing more rotation (pivoting) by getting my lead shoulder really under my chin on the backswing with weight on the trail and transferring onto the lead just after I start the downswing. Aching a bit now but kind of expected! KR John, 74, almost 75 and back playing and enjoying golf after quadruple bypass and a recent broken right ankle, near Brighton UK - PS my middle name is not "lucky"!! Cant wait to develop this further ... and all thanks to Carolin 😊😊

Best golf instruction on the interne,t right now. Malaska calls it quiet hands, and she explains it better. She explained in a previous video the knee and leg action, that drives the hips and pivot. Now she explains how the body drives the release. Next, I hope she explains how the arms connect to the pivoting body which would complete the picture. Does her quiet hands explaination contradict Bazalgette's videos on how the golfer should turn the left wrist down at impact? I think so!

What are your thoughts on a square face to the target and a slightly open stance with the swing being on the line of the stance. I have difficulty swinging inside to out because it does not feel comfortable and the back swing is flat. With the plane I swing on I have a higher backswing and make solid straight to a fade contact.

Release occurs when you allow the club to seek and achieve its inline condition with the lead arm. At this point the stored power is “released “ into the ball. At impact there is significant momentum transfer from club head to ball. The release interval occurs in that space from the trail knee to the point at which both arms are straight. This position is often referred to as the “ follow through “. Once impact occurs the release becomes “released”. Thanks for your video it was good ; and you yourself have a good release. Body rotation is forearm rotation. The hands as you suggest never accelerate the club head. Cheers and thanks for the fine video. F

I just want to mention that you’re lying in this video. You claim that the core and body rotation is squaring the face and that the hands are passive and not active. The clubface has 90* to go from p6 to impact. This concept will hurt people. Hope this helps
