I completely agree, but if you're listening, Ali, there are two things that I would kill for, even if just as an excel sheet. The first is the thermal performance of the various 3080s in the classic SFF all-star hits (especially the Node 202 and Dr zaber Sentry, please!) And second, please, *please* take a pair of calipers and measure every card that gets in your hot little hands, deshrouded. I've talked to every GPU company in my country, and the only one that was willing to measure and give me the dimensions of the heatsink and PCB without shroud or fans was PNY. I have a mod that I'm trying to accomplish, and the dimensions available determine what companies card I'm able to buy, and half of them make it feel like they don't want me to even consider their card...

sovic Actually it’s easier to get an M1 than a N200 considering the N200 is sold out everywhere for it’s real price and only available for it’s ridiculous price. Amazon is set to get a batch of N200s in the next few days but those might sell out right a way also. Honestly out of all the SFF cases (Ghost S1, Dancase, Sentry 2.0, etc.) the M1 is the most readily available and covid isnt killing their country shipping list anymore.

I feel like "small form factor" matx builds are underrated. Going matx seems to give you some benefits like more ram slots, lower cost, more vrms, larger socket support/threadripper support, and less installation complications. I kinda wish enthusiast case brands would try to build more matx chassis.
@ayuchanayuko4 жыл бұрын
Matx had its rise in popularity during the Shuttle PC Era. Cases in that Era can still be found, like the Sugo 01/02, 901 Firefly, Focus Nemesis, and a bunch of Matx cube cases. I think Thermaltake still makes new Matx cube cases. Some htpc cases also use Matx. But yeah, variations of ITX cases adjusted for Matx would be nice.

I essentially built this same pc about a year ago, but with an ROG Crosshair VIII Impact and a 2070 instead. Probably my most favorite build ever. Recently upgraded to a 3080ti, and any time the graphics card goes under load in a game, the PC insta shuts down, no blue screen, just off. I thought it was the power supply not giving enough, so I upped it to a 1000w one, but same issue. Swapped out the card to a 3070ti, no change. I am really bummed because I love this form factor, but I think the 3000 series cards are too power hungry for a sf power supply to handle under load.
