This Velka 7 build was way overdue, really happy to finally build in it. Also regarding the DisplayPort 1.2 extensions - as mentioned I had no problem achieving the full DisplayPort 1.4 spec out of the 3070 here, but Velkase can't guarantee full DP 1.4 compatibility with all cards / cables / monitors. If you're a Velka 7 owner, let me know your experience down below!

I made a computer case with my welder and some steel that is smaller than the velcase's smallest case with an i7 4790t at 1.7ghz turbo to 3.9ghz when gaming. 16gb ddr3 sodimm, amd r9 nano, 1tb m.2, 1tb hdd, 1tb hdd. and i got a window on the side. it was a nightmare to build in. th gpu was litterally scraping trying to squeeze it in. whole case is less than 4 inches wide and the same height as a water bottle.

I really love the SFF concept but in the end I find it quite limiting, I'm spending tons of money on noctua fans and CPU coolers to find the most appropriate solution but in the end sometimes I think i should just have gone for mATX because the PC is staying under the desk and not moving from there anyway lol

IMHO any SFF gaming PC that doesn't have at least a RTX 3080 are worthless. They have to be faster than the fastest gaming laptop by a substantial margin to justify their existance. What's the point of cramming a 3060Ti inside Velka 5 and suffer from loud PSU and cable mess, when you can just buy a laptop?

Thank you for another great video, Ali! I have this case, with 3060 Ti FE and 5600x (Black Ridge cooler with A9x14 Noctua fan swap), and it's a fantastic little computer. I have a very small desk space for my work-from-home office (small apartment, and both my wife and I working from home), and being able to fit the Velka 7 on a small desk has been a life-safer. I'm really happy with the build, and temps are really good after a slight undervolt of the GPU and max undervolt (PBO 2.0) of CPU. I also look forward to being able to bring this with me once I start travelling again. PS: To maximize airflow from the "blower-style" top fan on the 3060 Ti FE, I only installed one of the DP extension ports as I only use one screen, and that has helped airflow quite a bit.

I love SFF PCs but personally there is definitely a hard limit when it comes to the compromises I'm willing to make. Made one in the dan a4, it was rough, and it was soooo loud (your stock sound test reminded me of that) and was throttling. I promised myself, never again. The cooler master nr200p is ideal... Not a ton larger but fits absolutely anything I can throw at it while not compromising sound or performance

Thanks for making a video on this case. I was interested in using this as a living room setup. I wanted to use a 6 core processor and a 3060 Ti. It's a gorgeous, premium case that uses commonly available SFX power supplies. I ended up using a Sliger Console instead, as it had good front IO, which this doesn't have at all. Putting the finishing touches on a Velka 5 v2 build with an r5 3600 and evga RTX 3060. 3060 with a slight undervolt stays under 65C! Using a metalfish z39 cooler for the cpu, looks like torture tests put it at 90C and standard benchmarks (3d mark timespy, firestrike, cinebench) end up around 75-80C and runs quiet with a Noctua chromax slim 92mm fan. Build was definitely something different. That bend on the pci riser was something very... frustrating for a minute. The Velka 5 with PSU bundle is a great deal. The PSU has cables that are easy to manage and make everything fit. This video came out when I was almost decided on the velka cases and put me over the edge. Thanks!

You can get a huge thermal drop (~8°C) for FE cards by removing the SSD tray, so the GPU can exhaust the hot air out of the other side of the case. Unfortunately, the SSD tray is structural, so by doing so your mobo might wobble a bit.

Great, that you are talking about the volume in „Liter“! I know how hard it is, switching used to units during lifetime. Here in Europe, more than 30 years ago, we were encouraged using „kW“ for engine power. Even today, old fashioned people struggle with kW, still using ancient „PS“/„hp“ here. Even today, with electric car‘s engines, they name the electric power „Voltage multiplied by Current equals to : „Horse Power“😳, instead of correct „Watt“ or „kW“🤔
@shohabwafa18413 жыл бұрын
Another way to minimise the fan noise on both the GPU and CPU side would be to space the side panels out a bit further when screwing them in because of the turbulence. This definitely helped with my Velka 3 build, especially with the Noctua fan on the cooler being so close to the side panel. I'm guessing for the Velka 5 and 7 the turbulence would only affect the GPU side if you're planning on using the Blackridge CPU cooler.

wow, what a good looking build! its so nice how the gorgeous FE GPU is framed so cleanly. these cases really are something special, but the sound and temps are pushing it a bit with these particular components. it just blows my mind how space optimised they are. i've been rearranging my components on and off for 2 years now trying to get the best layout for a scratch build (DIY case). i'm using an ITX GPU and still settled on a 8.6L sandwich layout, but after finally putting it together last week it had a leak (did i mention full custom loop? ;-) i guess theres that going for me). it was so hard to put together and MUCH worse still to take apart, with water threatening to pour out everywhere. so i wasn't gonna do that again. back to the drawing board. i actually have it down to a 7.7L traditional layout now, built and running, but its not nearly as pretty. making these cases so compact, user friendly, good looking and manufacturable at the same time is an amazing design achievement to me. so cool! how about a custom loop in one Ali?? ;-D
